This is it. Day 30 Stamp Journal Challenge

This project has been soooo therapeutic!! The timing was perfect as it began shortly after Randy's surgery. I really needed to be in my craft room for my mental health, but I had no idea what to work on as I had lost my crafty focus. Thank goodness for Heidi Swapp's challenge to give me a project to keep me busy. It has been a Godsend. 💓💓💓💓 Be sure to scroll through the blog to see all the previous days journal tags.

I had been waiting for this particular stamp set to use in my journal and it came yesterday!! I was so happy to be able to incorporate it into my tags. Just something about it makes me so happy. Nostalgia, travel, bright lights and neon signs - I don't know what it is about this set, but it sure is fun to work with. Hope you like my Day 30!

Super fun stamp set!!!
Yummy colors!

Day 29 of 30 day journal challenge!

This one was especially fun for me as I used so much pink - my favorite, as you know! ;) I also pulled out some super oldie Heidi Swapp goodies - remember these??? that I've had in my stash for years....whaaat?! I know, right!?

The clear pink flower and the pink chipboard heart have been hanging around the craft room through all the makeovers. Finally, I decided to use them. And there are more where those came from. I have got to stop hoarding and do more using!! But cute, right?
Also, I made the 'gorgeous' tag interactive with a teensy little brad right in the center of the butterfly on the cute washi tape. Please take note how much improvement I've made in my alpha stamping. I didn't even make a line this time.
All the yummy pinks I used for this page.

Day 28, Stamp Journal Challenge

I'm itching to get away so today's tag is devoted to leaving. LOL I tried to do a vintage look for this one. The smaller 'post card' tag turned out pretty cute, I think.

To make it look vintage I added streaks of brown, crumpled it a little, and ran it through the paper crimper. Anybody else still have one of those? I rarely use mine, but I'll never get rid of it. I love that thing.
To further the vintage feel, I added some 'map' design washi tape, and used a lot of brown. It seems like a lot of the old cards, letters, and documents had sort of a brownish tinge to all the reds and blues such as the postal service used. I do that when I'm going for old looking.

Day 27, Stamp Journal

Today's tag - only 3 more to go. I started by stenciling a radiating sunrays background. It gave me the perfect base for the sunshine theme.

Day 26, Stamp Journal

I love today's tag! But it's not my design, this is one I followed along with Heidi's ticket project and I just love all the interactive bits and pieces. I definitely need to make one again sometime. It was such fun to create! You can see how it all came together in Heidi's Instagram post.

This was a plain chipboard piece I had in my stash. I decided to see if inking would work, and to my surprise it did. Then I heat embossed it in clear and punched a hole to hang it. Also, I only had white twine and thought, if I can ink the chipboard, why not try inking the twine too. That worked as well. I was so proud of me. LOL
Lots and lots of Heidi stamp sets for this project. Super fun. Super, duper fun!!!

Day 25, Stamp Journal challenge

We're nearing the end of our 30 day challenge and I'm loving how my journal looks!

Today's tag is sort of an 'ode to camping'. Randy always found the coolest super secluded and gorgeous spots to 'pitch our tent'. Almost always on a river or lake where he could fish. (We rarely camped in a tent LOL - it was either the back of the truck (we had sort of a homemade camper type situation with a bed and cupboards in the canopy) or in later years, a tiny little trailer). We loved those trips!! Between the two of us, we built some really fun organizers and stuff for all of our camping gear and hunting/fishing equipment. It was a blast!

Stamp Journal, Day 24

Are you a crafter who sits down with an idea before you get started? Do you envision your finished project and know where you want to begin? I rarely have an idea what I'm going to create when I sit down in my craft room. It sometimes makes me nuts that I have all the stuff and all these ideas in my brain but when I want to do something with it, I'm at a loss. LOL Until I'm not, of course. As was the case with this tag. All I knew was that I wanted this color scheme but no clue what to do with it. Then this happened and I added just a touch of red - I love it. :) It's not our anniversary or anything, it just hits me now and then how long we've loved each other, all we've been through together, and how lost I would be without him.

Day 24
We must be doing something right to still be together after 43 years!

I made the adorable cloche interactive but fussy cutting the images and adding it to the tag with a teeny tiny brad I had in my stash.

Stamp Journal Challenge, Day 23

We're down to the last week of the tag journal challenge. I'm loving my "book"! These have been such fun to make, but then, when you're a maker, you're probably going to love what you make, right. LOL

Day 23
As much as I love traveling, I am truly a homebody. My favorite place is my cozy little home where I can be in my pajamas all day if I feel like it, and leave the dusting till tomorrow if I want to craft instead.

Couple of bonus tags

If you look closely, you can see these large tags have a smaller tag adhered on top. I made the smaller tags a while back, before I knew about the Heidi Swapp challenge and before I even knew there was a Heidi Swapp Facebook Group. I took the tags and put them on jumbo tags so they'll fit into my stamp journal. I'm calling them 'bonus pages'. I really like how they turned out. Yes, they are very similar to a couple of early journal pages, as I used them as sort of a jumping off point before deciding to put them in my book. (They were originally supposed to go to my sister, but I forgot to mail them - ugh.)

Love this charm! I might have to get more sea themed charms like this one.

Heidi Swapp, 30 dy Stamp Journal Challenge, Day 22

Any of my crafty friends doing this challenge with me? It's a super fun way to put together a whole month of journaling and creativity. This has been the perfect month for me to start this too, with all the new changes we're learning and adapting to in our lives since Randy's surgery. It's been a really fun way to capture my thoughts along the way.

Day 22
Pink and brown...reminds me of the Neapolitan ice cream my dad used to get. :) Such a pretty color combination, I think.

I love my kitchen aide. It's been too hot to do any baking, so I made this tag and just pretend. LOL
Who doesn't love cookies right out of the oven?!
I have to provide a disclaimer for this one. Chocolate has never been my favorite. Shocking, I know. But even as a kid, my favorite candy bars were the ones that were not covered in chocolate. Weirdo.
