Fall is right around the corner

and that means school is starting all over the place! I still can't believe Grace starts middle school tomorrow. Where did the time go!??? I love this adorable school bus from the Doodlebug Cricut Cartridge and used my bind-it-all to make this little book a few years ago.

 Grace in 2nd grade.

Bye grama. See you after school!

{sniff, sniff} She's so grown up now. :( But she's still my scrappy buddy and I LOVE that!!  Thanks for stopping by.

MCT 3D Wednesday

Welcome to 3D Wednesday with My Creative Time. Thanks for visiting the studio. Today's theme is birthday. Oh goody! Cuz I love parties, don't you!? My project today is this mini book for grandgirl Olivia, who turned 11. Her birthday has passed but she got a cell phone for her birthday and loves taking pics so I know she'll enjoy adding her own photos to this one.

This is how it all started, with a box of my favorite snack {well, an empty box that USED to contain my snack! LOL} and the new MCT tri fold card die.

After cutting and covering all the pages, I bound them with my Bind-it-All, using pink owires. I added ribbons to the binding and made cute charms using MCT scallop circle and heart dies. If she wants to, Olivia can take them off and hang them from her backpack.

This flower is made using the MCT flower die and the sentiment is also MCT.

...and a velcro tab for the closure.

You'll note the cover is longer than the pages so it can wrap around, like a wallet, to close around the book. I used the same tri fold card die, but put my cutting mat not all the way to the end so it wouldn't cut, then flipped the die around and cut the end where I wanted it being sure to run it only part way then backing it out so as not to cut the extra end off that will be the flap.

Ok, let's take a look inside, shall we! There are more pages but I've chosen just a few to share so as not to bore you with a novella sized blog post! ;) Eyeglasses die and sentiment by MCT, sweet face by Peachy Keen.
Cupcake die by MCT, stars are Quickutz.

Clouds and mustache dies by MCT, sentiment also MCT.

Ice cream cone die and sentiment by MCT, winky face by Peachy Keen.

Pocket die by MCT, tickets are Tim Holtz, and cute little clip by Making Memories.

Another mustache for Olivia who LOVES mustaches {like any 11 year old girl would....huh? LOL She cracks me up.} Tag inside pocket is MCT as is the mustache, face again by Peachy Keen.

For the banner I used the starburst from the MCT Banner Kit, but for the flags I wanted something smaller so I used the MCT teeny tag instead. The letters are also MCT stamps.

The balloon. I'm not sure how practical it is, but I thought it might be a cute bookmark for a few minutes. LOL I used cute pink wire from the dollar store and adhered it with Glossy Accents. The balloon is by Quickutz.

Bo Bunny Serenade....my newest love!

ACOT, Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge #16

I love these papers!!! They are the new Serenade collection by Bo Bunny. For this page I used the 6x6 paper pad. I really like the smaller prints and this combination of  patterns and colors wonderful!!! {see my etsy store for handmade, wooden display rack} You can see my layout along with the other gorgeous entries in the gallery at A Cherry on Top.

A little closer view of the page. I used Spellbinders dies for many of the elements on this page.

Flower embellishments. I used dies by My Creative Time to create these flowers.

And this flower is a combination of punched flowers and Bo Bunny Petals from the Serenade collection.

Thank you for coming by! Be sure to come back tomorrow for My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday. I'll give you a hint of my project for tomorrow: mini book. ;) See then!

Scrappy Monday with MCT

It's Monday....I know that's typically not a happy thing, but today is Scrappy Monday with the Design Team at My Creative Time, so that helps a little, right?! ;) Well, I hope so. Scrapping makes me happy no matter what day it is. Here's my layout.

One of many, many of my daughter and granddaughter's camping trips. I used BoBunny Camp a Lot 6x6 paper pad. For the campy-type embellishments I used MCT leaves attached with foam tape over a circle wrapped in hemp twine. Gives it more of an outdoorsy feel, I think.

Title stamped with MCT Just Simply Live alphabet/number stamps.

My Creative Time, Just Simply Live stamp set
My Creative Time, leaf die
My Creative Time, tri fold card die {for journaling spot}
BoBunny Camp a Lot 6x6 paper pad

Ink It Pink PBD Challenge

This is my second post today so scroll down to see the first if you wish. Anyway, I just heard about this challenge and decided at the last minute to join in. :) What a fun challenge....incorporate school supplies into your card!! I love it! I cut my note paper for the clipboard from an index card and added a cute paper clip thingy {forgotten the real term for this type of clip. It'll come to me after I post this, no doubt. LOL}

And my sentiment is from the Tool Time set by Pink By Design. Perfect for my contractor husband!
And ruler/measuring tape ribbon is the perfect touch with this theme, I think! Yes, I made the polka dotty flower. In case you are new to my blog, I simply LOVE making paper flowers and you'll see them all over my blog posts.
The clipboard. Isn't this an adorable die!? I used chipboard for the 'board' and silver metallic paper for the clip.

You still have till tomorrow {Tuesday afternoon} to join this challenge. But you can't win cuz I'm gonna! hahaha - KIDDING!! ;)

NOTE:  The deadline for the challenge has been extended! You have another week to submit your project... get thee to the craft room and create!!!

Anything is possible....card

I love this older paper by Making Memories. With this color palette, I hope it doesn't look too much like a Christmas card. It's for one of the wives at the sportsmen's club. She was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sketch Challenge, ACOT

Sketches are my favorite challenges. And Becky Fleck, of PageMaps tops my list of fave sketches. So I decided to join the ladies at A Cherry on Top for the challenge this month. I totally love my layout. It's probably my most favorite of every one I have ever done! It's a shame the pics don't do it justice. All the pattern papers, other than the main background piece {which is from the LaCreme Stack by DCWV} are BoBunny Weekend Market 6x6 paper pad and BoBunny Et Cetera 6x6 paper pad. Wish me luck in the drawing! ;)

Grandgirl, Olivia, taken on Thanksgiving, 2011.

All the flowers I made using the same pattern papers on the layout.

Love the pretty brad embellishment on the bow. This is actually two pieces. The 'jacket' is one of the BoBunny Et Cetera Buttons, and the music paper brad I put in the center is from the BoBunny Et Cetera Brads pack.
