And now my project. My apologies for the horrid photo. I love making banners, but then I remember how difficult it is to get good pics when they are finished. LOL oops. I used the large fishtail tag die for the base, and the ornaments dies between each flag.

There are so many fabulous things about this release and it was hard to narrow down what to use since I couldn't fit them ALL on my banner! It's hard to see, but the 'dear santa' tag is inside a mini glassine bag. I also used the santa hat with the sentiment. Embellishments made with MCT dies, scalloped circle, leaves, jingle bell, and tag topper.

This one was fun. It's not that easy to see on the pattern paper, but I made a red and brown plaid background using the new Get Schooled background stamps. So cool!!! Sentiment included in this new Day in December set. Embellishments for this flag made with the ornaments dies, tag topper, chocolate greetings flag, and the tiny holly stamp from the From Our Family to Yours stamp set and bling.

Also made the background on this flag using the teensy snowflake stamps in this set. I LOVE those guys!!! Believe star stamp also in this set. If you look close you can see I sprayed the star with pearl glimmer mist.

There are two sentiments from this set on the final flag. Seriously, this might be my all time favorite Christmas set. There is SO much and, indeed, it will be PERFECT for the December Dailies book I AM planning to do this year! Embellishments made with the rolled flower and leaves die, chocolate greetings flag, and chunky jar accessories.

If you need to start at the beginning, hop on over to Emma's blog. Otherwise, Veronica is up next followed by our special guest, Teri!

Reindeer topper tutorial

Good morning on this Thanksgiving Eve! I imagine, like me, many of you will be baking pies and doing lots of pre-prep for tomorrow's big dinner. Hubs asked for a very non-traditional pie this year, so in addition to pumpkin, I'll also be making banana cream. Yum. :)

My project today is this adorable treat topper. I love making punch art projects and this one was really fun. I've provided a pictorial for you so that you can make them too. Pinterest inspired, this is what I came up with for my reindeer! He's so cute I can't stand it! I know the grands will love him.

I used dies, as you can see, but dies are not required. You can use punches if you have them, or any cricut cartridge that has an oval and a branch or leaf cluster. The largest size will be the head--mine is 2 inches-- and decreasing sizes for the remaining parts in proportionate sizes - of course this all depends how big you want your finished reindeer.

Now choose a style for your antlers. You can go fancy, like this My Favorite Things flourish; chunky like the leaves by Paper Trey Ink, or pokey like the Spellbinders die on the right. I chose chunky for mine.

For the ears and hooves, cut the smallest two ovals in half.

Cut by hand if you like, or as I did, use the "ears oval" to cut the hooves....

....and by hand trim off a portion of the smallest oval halves to make the ear shapes.

Now you have all your pieces ready to put together! Ink if you like, and add your handwork at this point, i.e. eyes, face, ear markings, and any other features you wish to include. If you prefer, you can also use stamps - I highly recommend Peachy Keen Stamps for their super adorable faces assortments if you aren't comfortable drawing your own.

For the base, I used My Creative Time's tri-fold card, trimming off the extra after folding over the treat bag so I knew how big I needed it and scoring where I wanted the fold. Use any banner or cut a paper strip by hand and stamp your sentiment - I used My Creative Time's All Around Goodies and the alphabets from Just Simply Live to create my sentiment - then add the hooves to each side as if he is holding the sign. Adorbs!!!

I hope you'll try this super cute project. It takes only a few minutes to put together. Thanks for coming by today. Now I'm off to bake those pies! Yum. ♥

Kids' table place settings for TDay

Happy Thanksgiving week! Are you having friends or family for Thanksgiving? Last minute guests you didn't think could make it? More kids than you expected? Well here's a quick and easy idea for kids' table place settings that took me only a few minutes to make!!! Check out this fun idea the kids are sure to love!!!

Super cute individual cornucopias from sugar cones...adorbs!

The name tag doubles as a coloring project to keep them busy while they wait for their plates.

Fill mini-baggies with Reese's pieces, candy corn, or other fall colored goodies; secure the tags on a ribbon and tie a bow. Done!

Have a wonderful week and a Happy Thanksgiving. ♥

Peachy Keen Challenge, 13-47

Hello and happy Sunday! I'm sharing today a card I made for the November Peachy Sketch Challenge. Sketch challenges are my favorite so I had to find time to play along. :)

I made this cute 'thinking of you' card for my MIL.

For my sentiment, I combined the November 2012 set of the month (label and deer) with the Clearly Autumn Quart Jar contents (thinking of you) The deer is my own (*pictorial coming soon so watch the blog for it!), made using simple ovals and a leaf die (antlers). The background label is a Quickutz nesting label die.

And look......he wobbles!!! I think mom will get a kick out of it. :)

Thanks for looking. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Now, let's get hopping! ;) Today I made two projects to share. I have so many ideas in my head, that I can't make them all fast enough! LOL The ornament is my fave, but the grands LOVE bookmarks so I will make them as long as they want them. :)

The base of my ornament is the doily die. Love that die, it's so versatile. The next layer is the fabulous new rosette die! Isn't it pretty in plaid!? Then the top layer is the rolled flower die with the stitched leaves. Add a sheer bow, some string pearls and a sentiment and you're done! Quick and easy project.

I used the vintage banner die and the new release, Fun Variety stamp set, for the sentiment.

The bookmark was also a quick and easy project. Cut your basic shape (I like the fishtail banner style), then add your embellishments and sentiment.

The picture doesn't show it very well, but for the snowman's face, I used the scalloped circle die, then dotted with sharpie for the "coal" eyes and mouth; cut a tiny triangle for the carrot nose. His hat I cut by hand to fit the "head" - the size of the hat will, of course, will depend what you use for the head. I added liquid embroidery (I think it is also known as puffy paint? It goes on wet and dries puffy.) for snow, twine and bling for the hat band and berries. The tiny holy is from Emma's, From Our Family to Yours stamp set.

On the back I used the Just Tags stamps that coordinate with the tags.

Remember, the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances to win one of two gift certificates to the My Creative Time store!!! So if you missed the beginning, head over to Emma's blog to start, and if you've come from Ruthie's blog you're right on track. Tracy is up next so happy hopping! :)

 let's start spreading the word!

Welcome to Day 2, Sneak Peeks for the new My Creative Time release. Today's featured product is the Fun Stitched Edges. Love.Love.Love. Seriously. Love these.

The cute little pilgrim couple I drew myself, then paper pieced. I think they are adorable. :) They were the pattern I made for a wood piece (pictured below) for the table.

I used the small scallop to edge my card. Super cute eye-catching addition to any card.

Once again, I used the Circle Tab Die from yesterday's sneak -- I think it is my favorite of this release. I added the mini leaf from the All Around Holidays stamp and die set, and the tiny sentiment from Teeny Tag Holidays.

This banner stamp is from Tab Notes and the sentiment from Just For You. And another baby leaf.

I'm in love with this pilgrim couple. I drew them onto a piece of computer paper, enlarged on the copier and had hubs cut them out of wood with his scroll saw. Then I painted them with acrylic paints, sanded the edges, and coated with Mod Podge.

The letters and pine cones are vinyl; the leaves are cardstock adhered with Mod Podge. Fun little table decoration!

Remember to come back tomorrow for the new release Blog Hop starting at 8 a.m. Pacific time! You're sure to be wowed by the awesome projects from our talented design team!
