Love is in the Air

The new outside the box challenge is up at My Favorite Things, and coincidentally, with Valentine's Day up next on the calendar, the theme this month is Love is in The Air. I took it to heart, and made this card using the Joyful Heart Bears from the 2019 Valentine release.

I have to admit, Stacy Yacula images always intimidate me. I don't know what it is, maybe because they are furry and I'm not sure how to color the fur??? Whatever, I finally got over the worst of it and decided to just grab the copics and go. They have the sweetest little faces.

As always, they fold flat for mailing.

Leaves are from the MFT Main Squeeze stamp set, the heart from MFT Love Speech Bubbles, and the sentiment by Honey Bee Stamps, Wish You Were Here.

I'm back with another sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. I had these papers on my worktop for sometime waiting for just the right card to use them on. The color and pattern combination struck me and I haven't been able to put them away! Maybe now that I've used them, I can move on. Hope you like it.

2020 In The Rear View ... good riddance!

So long 2020 and let's not ever talk about it again. LOL!!! Thought it would never end. So much quarantine, and such looooooooong months. Thankfully, we pulled through no worse for the wear. Of course, it's not over yet, but we can certainly pray it won't last the whole year.

This year was time again for a makeover in the studio. Basically, a rearrangement mostly, but it is a huge change from my previous layout. Without doing anything drastic, like buying new pieces or building an addition-LOL-I was still able to create an entirely new look using the furniture I had purchased for the previous makeover over 7 years ago. And the four-drawer file cabinet from the thrift store is probably the best $5 I ever spent!! I have painted it twice since I got it and it holds SO. MUCH. STUFF. If you haven't taken the virtual tour yet (see sidebar), here are a couple of my fave views of the "new" space.

My desk. I love it, and my pink chair ... right?!

Marker towers by Organize More. These hold 360 markers - the entire Copic collection.

Three-tiered spinning organizer by me. I made this in 2015 and still use it, it's really handy. Super simple, you can do it, I promise!

Now, here's a look back at some of my favorite projects from the Studio for 2020. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving comments, sharing on Pinterest, and emailing me with questions. I appreciate all of you!! 💓

When hubs' birthday rolled around he told me he didn't want to be an old man. (Like we have a choice when we age! LOL) Anyway, it was the perfect sentiment for his card. He loved it.
Inside message:

October

I took an Online Card Class (Simply Watercolor Christmas) in October, which was super fun. Here are few of my faves from class. Yes, I hand painted these!

November

December
These are just a couple of the cards I made in December. I did make all my Christmas cards this year as well so I actually have a start on next year's cards with several set aside already. (I'm in shock too, believe me! LOL) If you'd like to see the cards I mailed out this year, check them out here in this blog post from October.

My Favorite Things (my favorite stamp store!) introduced a line of box card dies in October. I fell in love instantly and went a little nuts making box cards. Here are a few faves from the past few months.

I hope you've enjoyed my year in review. Please leave a comment or shoot me an email (link in sidebar) if you have any questions or just want to say hi. Now, go forth and have a wonderful new year!!! I pray for only the best things and that people will be loving and tolerant of one another, and be ever grateful for what you have.

Happy 2021!
