My Favorite Things Challenges WINNING ENTRY!

UPDATE: Well, here we go again. Must be my birthday month or something (IT IS! LOL). This card won the sketch challenge this week. :) Thanks so much, My Favorite Things!!

This card fits the current MFT Sketch #543 and Color Challenge #166. I didn't really intend to combine the two challenges, but ended up doing so anyway. LOVE the color combo!! I haven't made a shaker card in quite some time and thought this large element was worthy. Plus I had yummy sequins in the challenge colors.

I love these little strips. They are a set of three and if you don't separate them you can cut all three at once. They are the Little Notes sentiment strip dies (link below). The sentiment is from Sending Smooches, the stamp set that coordinates with the lip balm pouches.
Copic matches to the color combo.

Honey Bee Stamps, Challenge #75 WINNING ENTRY!!

UPDATE: Well congrats to me! This card won the challenge. :) Thanks so much Honey Bee Stamps!

A most deliciously summery color palette for this challenge. I want a whole bag of popsicles now!

To go with the yummy color choices, I chose a yummy stamp set called Treat Yo Self. Thank you, I will.

There is one more image on the inside of the card where I used the blue. I just noticed the only blue on the front is the straw.

For a sick friend

...and I don't mean "sick", like inappropriate (though she is) and I don't mean "sick" as in dope, which she is also, but she's actually sick in the Webster's dictionary sort of way. The kind of sick that puts you in the hospital, which is where she is right now. Thankfully, she isn't sick in the soon to be deceased sort of way either, thus the humorous punch line. So. Anyway, on with the card.

I made a super cute blonde doctor just in case hers isn't blonde or really cute. You just never know unless you ask, and I didn't. This doc is from the Bedside Manner set by My Favorite Things. Sentiment by Jaded Blossom from For You Boo-Boo sentiment set.
For the background I used the super adorable Medical Icons stamp set by Jaded Blossom. The "curtain" is a paper by Heidi Swapp.
Another fabulous 3D card design that folds flat for mailing. (This would have folded flatter if it weren't for the accordion folded privacy curtain I added.)

Monkey Business

Monkeys are the cutest. Not that I want one, a real live one, for a pet or anything, but some of the images out there are so stinkin' cute I can't pass them up!! For example, these from the jungle animal set by Hello Bluebird called Word Buddies Jungle. The idea is for these sweet little animals to hold onto large letters in a sentiment, scrapbook page, card, what have you. I chose a different route for my little guys. It was one of the most fun box cards I've made, maybe. Maybe. LOL

Outside the Box Challenge, Just add balloons

Here you go, another box card, my favorite!! and balloons too. What's a celebration without balloons? Well, when my sister and mom and I finally get together again, there will definitely be celebration. And undeniably, mimosas. ;)

I actually used five different stamp sets for this one as they all have balloons that I like to use together whenever I'm doing a card with balloons.
The big bunch is called Balloon Bundle (just one stamp and die creates the big bunch, which I love). For other balloons, I used all Birdie Brown sets (listed below).
The pattern papers are My Favorite Things and Simple Stories, Snap.

MFT Sketch Challenge 542

Fun sketch, but aren't they all? LOL I do enjoy sketch challenges if you don't know by now. ;) This time I used the Tweet Memories stamps and dies, a little modification and some hand doodling to pull this one together. Hope you like it.

Sweet love birds 💓 I modified the branch by using both of them and cutting off the house which I then added to the swing. Then I added the dangling hearts from one of the other birds in the set, to the cute little birdhouse making it all one piece.
Then I popped the entire piece with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Winter Songbirds stamp set. For the "cloud" background, I used scattered hearts in blue to keep with the love theme.

Copic colors used for this one.

P.S. For all of my card panels, I use My Favorite Things, A2 Rectangle STAX. I have both sets 1 and 2, which are no longer available. My preference is set 2. (They do have them in stitched edge versions however.)  I never put this in my product list as I figure everyone will use what they like for their A2 card bases and panels.

MFT Slimline Card Challenge, Gift Card Greetings

It's time for the new slimline challenge at My Favorite Things. This month's theme is Gift Cards. As you can see, I went straight for the money instead, but it's sized for a gift card if I had one to put in here.

Here's the card without the dough. The llamas are on foam tape so the strip leaves room underneath.
Side view; you can see there is space for a card or money.
Oops, I forgot to remove the RV colors before I took the pic. I used those on the blankets that I thought I might use on the llamas, which, as you can see, I ended up not using. And I forgot to add the W1 for the llamas.
Product List:
My Favorite Things, Llama Love stamps and dies *retired

Sweet Summer box card

Watermelon! To me it's the epitome of summer. I LOVE watermelon! When I saw this adorable stamp set by Gerda Steiner Designs I had to get it. This little purple dinosaur might as well be me with all the empty rinds he has lined up next to him. LOL

I sort of went all out with the theme, but I think it sure turned out cute. I added a few things from other sets (as is typical of my crafting style) and the end result is more than I can stand.
The ants, basket, and larger watermelon pieces are from Ellen Hutson stamp sets (links below), and the card base, of course, is the Level Up Outside the Box die set by My Favorite Things.

For the watermelon pattern paper, I used copic xpress it blending cardstock and MFT inks. The seeds are the Raindrops ST45 stencil by MFT. Banner is also MFT, colored with copics to look like watermelon wedges.

And, again, these awesome cards fold flat for mailing. Super simple to make using the dies, and super fun to adorn with any idea under the sun!
Copic colors and inks used for this card. Complete product list below.

Gerda Steiner Designs, Melon Friends stamps and dies (dino, watermelon wedge, watermelon w/bite, pile of empty rinds, row of watermelon in diff sizes, sentiment)

Father's Day BBQ Apron die

Super fun new die set from Honey Bee Stamps!! This A2 size apron is so cool. I did mine a tad different than the instructions (that's how I roll) so I made just one cut on the fold and didn't need the "hinge" piece. Either way though, super simple design and fun to play with. Here's my first version.

Using elements from Ellen Hutson's Leading Ladies collection, I made this "picnic/bbq" themed card for hubsy. Now, I know that most husbands are kings of the barbecue, but not mine. Ok by me, though, I don't mind "manning" the grill. Hmm....king? man-ning? Maybe I should have a word with him. LOL kidding!

Isn't it just the cutest? I used farm-ish themed papers for my apron and I love how it turned out. The blue gingham check are scraps from a previous project, and the chickens are just too adorable.
I used copics to add dots to her head scarf and also cut her apron from the chicken paper. The pocket that holds the bbq tools (and the shish kebab LOL) is open for a gift card or whatever.
The sandwich is popped with foam tape so it appears to sit on her hand. Sentiment is by Paper Smooches from the Daddy Yo2 stamp set. (full product list below)
Copic colors used.
Thanks for visiting the studio! I hope my projects are inspiring and will encourage you in some way to create something as well. Maybe you're new to paper crafting, scrapbooking, or card making.
