Blah

I'm sharing a tag (jumbo sized) using the October Agenda stamp set from Heidi Swapp. This set is so perfect for the times we're feeling not exactly like doing - well, anything! Or things have gone askew or not going at all! I love the sayings on the set and used many of them on my tag. Isn't it great to have these sayings in your stash? You never know when - or how often! LOL - they'll come in handy!

I also used the Road Sign set for some of the elements to add sayings and quotes onto.
Just something fun for the everyday in all of us!

Haunted District

This awesome accordion tag book is the result of Heidi Swapp's Haunted District class using the Haunting 23 stamps. My little book is basically all class work, with some things I added myself afterward. I learned so much more about using these stamps in new and even more different ways than I have been, and I thought I had been doing pretty well on my own. LOL I highly recommend this class. It can be done in a day, but you will be able to reference it again and again.

Here's my finished project.

Full Moon tag

Haunted goodness from the latest stamping session in the studio. Plus, another mansion design. Seriously fun stuff. I can't stop. And it's not even October yet. Hope you like fall projects. ;)

I started with the new Haunting jumbo distressed tag book. Using the already distressed look tags cuts down on having to ink and up a white tag before you begin. But if you don't have the distressed tags, inking and sanding a white one is just as effective.

This time my haunted house isn't really a mansion, but a much smaller cottage type abandoned house - which is, of course, haunted! I love the tons and tons of designs you can create by inking just a portion of a stamp, or turning one upside down, or using it for a purpose not originally intended. Imagination.
For the mini tag, I used black twine tied onto the black ribbon. This time, I've used both the 1/4" and 1/2" ribbons in black, and added the pop of color in the stamped letters.
Stamp sets for this tag include the Stamp Society August alphabet and last year's Hallows 22.

More haunted house happiness

Considering it isn't even October yet, I hope you aren't already tired of haunted houses. I have a feeling there will be a lot more of these in the near future, so I hope you enjoy them. If not, you are not obligated to visit and my feelings will not be hurt by your absence. :) I just hope my posts will inspire you.

This house is a little different, a little smaller than the others I've done. I do like how the fence turned out and the one tree with the owl is cool.

Mostly I used the accessory house pieces and skipped the main part of the house this time, just to see if I could do it and still have a decent looking house. I kinda like it!
If you look closely you can see where I actually turned some pieces upside down and used just part of them. That's what is so cool about this set - your imagination is your only limit. So much can be done with these to create a one of a kind mansion. I'm still exploring and practicing!

Heidi Swapp, Haunting captions
Heidi Swapp, Stamp Society Aug 23

A dark and stormy night...

The haunting continues. Do you have this stamp set yet? As you can see, I'm not tired of it yet. LOL Halloween is so inspiring for the crafter in me. Whenever I create another haunted mansion I think of the Addams Family or the Munsters, or creepier yet, the Bates Motel. It's so much fun!

Come on in.....

The spooky continues with this latest haunted house. As I have said, there are so many possibilities with these pieces, you are limited only by your own imagination. And mine is still conjuring up new and creepy mansions.....welcome!

I love all the mansions I've created with this set.
I also made a graveyard, which I think is extra spooky by using the Weathered Wood ink. It adds a grayish haze that makes the scene look even scarier, don't you think!
Forgot to include the Lumberjack Plaid red ink in the photo that I used for the 'welcome', but that and these two are the only colors I used.

Halloween card

Monochrome, one-layer flat card. I must preface this by saying I really dislike making one-layer cards. I like others, but not my own. I don't know why that is. Rarely do I make one that actually gets mailed - usually I will toss it or maybe add to it so it isn't a flat one-layer. But this time, I really, really like this one!! If you are a Halloween lover paper crafter/card maker, you really need this release. Really. Not kidding.

Everything on this card is stamped directly onto the card front, and designed by me using stamp images by Heidi Swapp, from the Haunted 23 release out now. This creepy Halloween scene was a blast to piece together. For the outside alone I used about 40+ stamps and many of them multiple times.

If I came across this place when I was a kid, I would have grabbed my sister and gone in to check it out. I mean, if nobody lived there, of course.
This is the inside message. I used the alphabet set from the August Stamp Society along with images from the Haunting 23 stamps.
The card front is all done in walnut stain oxide ink. The only other colors I used, and only on the inside, are antique linen oxide, pumice stone oxide and, for the raven I use black soot oxide.

Heidi Swapp, October Captions 22
Heidi Swapp, Haunting Captions 23
Heidi Swapp, August Stamp Society alphabet
Distress Oxide Inks, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Pumice Stone, Black Soot

So in love with this set!!

This is what I waited for (not so patiently) all week! Just look at it - build your own haunted house! Yes, please. :)

Look at my first project. I made this tag of a super spooky haunted house complete with ghost, bats, owl, and full moon. I started by cutting a tag from white cardstock. This one is 5.75x3.5 inches. First, I stamped a crosshatch background in antique linen oxide ink, stamped off, so I got just a hint of the color. Next, I used a large blending brush and went over the whole tag with walnut stain oxide ink. Once I had it looking old and distressed, I began stamping my scene....all in black soot oxide. It would be really easy to get carried away once you start building your mansion!!

Mini tag

The goodies I used for this tag.

I wish I could have order the entire release, but alas, I had to save a *little* bit for the next order! Still, very happy with all my fun new goodies.

Here's a look at some of my practice sheets. In love!
Can it be Halloween all year?!
