Paper Smooches, SPARKS Sketch Challenge

Fun sketch challenge at Paper Smooches SPARKS this week. I decided to make one last Halloween card using the sketch, and again, using non-Halloween stamps and dies, all by Paper Smooches. I love adding an extra challenge to myself and this turned out better than I hoped. Hope you like it too!

Paper Smooches sets I used for this card:
Adornments dies - sentiment flag
Fanciful Fall stamps and icons - cloud
Southwestern Charm stamps - cactus stamp for ghost
Chubby Chums stamps - puppy for ghost arms and shoes; woohoo sentiment
Squeaky Clean stamps - eyes for ghost
Slang Gang stamps - "you're the bomb" sentiment for the B in "Booo"
My Creative Time - rectangle frames
My Mind's Eye, Something Wicked 6x6 paper pad
Foam tape, clear embossing powder, sequins, copics

Of course, I heat embossed all the cutie little guys for texture and dimension. And the striped paper is glittery for more fun texture and sparkle.

All the cute little elements are on foam tape for POP. :) I love foam tape.

It's time for a new Melonheadz Friends challenge!

This week's challenge is to USE A PUMPKIN! With Halloween just a few days away, that can't be too hard, right!? So please join us and link up your pumpkin project here. You can't win if you don't enter!

For my card I used the Halloween Stuff image set. I just love this adorable mummy and treat pail!

The sentiment on my card is by My Creative Time, and the cute little images for the candies are by Jaded Blossom stamps.

Here I used the mummy again in addition to the tombstone, and a pumpkin from the Very Veggie set, for my candy bag toppers.

Thanks for coming by. If you still have Halloween projects to finish up, these Melonheadz images are the ticket! You can get them already colored and simply print and cut to finish off your last minute goodies. :)

Halloween Treat Bag toppers

Halloween is just around the corner, so that means lots of goodies in my house! Not only do we have EIGHT grands we send goodies to, but we also have two adorably sweet "adopted" grands who live next door and I love making things for them as well. :) Also, my husband is a candy hog. Like seriously! Oink, oink. Tell me how he stays skinny as a rail with all the snacks and junk food he eats. There is really no reasonable explanation. All I can do is shake my head. Sigh! But I digress.....

The super sweet little mummy kids by My Creative Time are so cute I want to squish them. Haha! Had to use them for this project. I just love them.

My Favorite Things, Sketch 250

Here is my interpretation of this week's sketch (actual sketch image at the end of this post) for My Favorite Things, Card Challenges. The Santa's Elves by Birdie Brown are so stinkin' adorable, aren't they?! I did this one in my favorite winter color combo. Using purple is really stepping outside the box for me. Not a fan, normally, but it is so cute here and the Bo Bunny Enchanted Garden papers are perfect.

After I colored the image using copic markers, I heat embossed with clear powder, then embellished with stickles. Randomly placed sequins give it the finishing touch! Thanks for coming by today.

Product list:
My Favorite Things, Santa's Elves stamps and dies
My Favorite Things, Black Licorice hybrid ink pad
My Favorite Things, Hand Lettered Holiday sentiments
My Favorite Things, Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX dies
My Favorite Things, Blueprints 22
Bo Bunny, Enchanted Garden, 6x6 paper pad
Copic markers, stickles, sequins, foam tape, clear embossing powder

My Favorite Things, Color Challenge #31

Happy Sunday and welcome to another great color challenge. I used the Mon Cheri set by Birdie Brown and sentiment from the Hand Lettered Holiday stamps, in addition to the fishtail flag stacks for the sentiment box, and jumbo fishtail banners for the shaker window. For a little added interest, I outlined them using copic multi-liner pens.

In this one you can see the glossy accents on the lamp post.

And for even more fun, I cut several of the girly shapes from shrink film and added them to the sequins in my shaker filler...purses, shoes, perfume bottles...colored with copics. This is one of my favorite ways to use dies!

Thanks for coming by today. I hope you'll be inspired to use your dies in new ways, or to make a shaker if you haven't tried it. Fun times!

Paper Smooches Picture Perfect Inspiration Challenge

Hello Wednesday, and welcome to another Paper Smooches challenge. This time we're using this photo for inspiration. I love fall...the leaves, the colors, the weather. For my project, I made a shaker card using three sets by Paper Smooches.

Crystal Clear1 die;  I love this jar for shaker windows.
Autumn Groves stamp set; Sentiment, scarecrow and pumpkin, as well as the stamped images on the inside back of the shaker.
Fanciful Fall stamps and dies; die cut leaves inside the shaker

You can barely see the stamped images on the back inside the shaker, but I used tiny leaves and a tiny acorn which can be seen when the filler is shaken. :)

Other products used in this project:
Glossy accents, jute twine, clear acetate, versamark embossing ink, clear embossing powder, copic markers, foam tape, sequins

There is still time to join the challenge! Click here to link your project:

Halloween Challenge!! Melonheadz Friends

I love Halloween projects! This week's challenge is Halloween related. This zombie is the cutest I've ever seen (well, ok, I have never actually seen a zombie, but I have seen The Walking Dead, soooo....) so I had to use him for this week's challenge. And the tombstone just happens to be the perfect accent piece. Adorableness. Check out all the sweet Halloween sets in the Melonheadz Etsy Store

Bats background stamp and sentiment by My Creative Time. I simply used a circle punch for the moon, heat embossed with clear powder and attached with foam tape for dimension! Click here and come play with us for this fun and spooky Halloween challenge!
