Birthday Wishes class cont'd

This time we have a vellum overlay on the front of the card, plus a pocket for a gift card or pull out message tag.

Unfortunately, the photo is not showing the fabulous sparkle of the disco ball, to which I added Stardust Stickles. Super cute!

Keep in mind these designs don't have to be just birthday themed - use the same designs for any message you want to convey, pulling sentiments and fun stamps that fit your occasion!

Ever made a clear front card?

Today's card is a clear-front card, made with plastic paper (a little different from acetate as it is much heavier and sturdy). I love the way it turned out and will use this technique again. For more info, check out Heidi Swapp's Birthday Wishes Stamp Therapy class here.

Isn't it the cutest.

Card with a view! So much fun. I love it.
Inside is free reign. Decorate to your heart's content. It's a birthday, so balloons and cake are a must, right.
I wish it showed up a little better, but I think you can see the clear dots on the cafe lights and some of the sparkle on the cupcake. So fun to add these embellishments.

Hope you like today's card. As I have said before, I highly recommend Heidi Swapp classes. There is so much to learn and improve on and the ideas are endless. Give it a go and sign up for one of her classes. Link above.

More from the Birthday Wishes class

This pocket card has a pull-out jumbo tag inside where you can add lots more messages. It would be a great one for a co-worker, for example, as there is so much room for many signatures and sentiments from friends and loved ones...or make it just from you. 😊 It's a fun project for sure.

For this card, we made a pocket with a window and pull out tag/card. I love all the tons of fun party/birthday sentiments using several Heidi Swapp birthday and party themed stamps sets. Distress Oxide ink colors used on this one are Lucky Clover, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and a DIY custom blend.

All these fun labels stamps and dies are new from Heidi Swapp. We used lots of them here and even created the window with the largest die.
I didn't want the inside to be completely blank once the tag/card is pulled out, so I added the cutest tiny little hug just for fun.

Any of these stamps and dies can be found here at Heidi Swapp Shop.

Birthday Wishes

The newest Stamp Therapy class from Heidi Swapp is up! If you love making unconventional cards or want to learn some great techniques you can use in your card making, or if you struggle with birthday cards, give this class a try. There are 10 lessons in the class and so many fun ideas. This is just one of them; I'll be sharing more as I continue the class. Also note that once you purchase the class, you can take it as many times as you like and all at your own pace.

Here's a pocket tag card.
These party and birthday stamp sets from Heidi Swapp are so much fun to create a party themed project. The fringe and banners, balloons, and tuck away tags are adorable. The tiny tag with the letter stickers add the perfect finishing touch.

And just look at the detail on these Mylar balloon stamps!! Even without pop dots theses look dimensional.
Distress Oxide ink colors I used on this one are Pine Needles, Twisted Citron, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry.

Happy Mother's Day

Tag card, which really is a card. Cut out your tag on a fold and you have an opening tag. You can do this with pretty much any shape and if you have dies, even easier. I love adding something a little unexpected to all of my projects, and I know mom will like it.

Stamp sets for this one are Heidi Swapp are Mar 24 Stamp Society (background textures), Sep 22 Stamp Society (florals), Jan 21 Stamp Society (love you), Party Decor (happy, day, banners).

Inside:

Alphabet outline dies, definition from Celebrate stamp set.
Distress Oxide ink colors Peacock Feather, Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron, and Pine Needles.

All Yours

When I started this one, what was in my mind is absolutely nothing like what I ended up creating. Even the color scheme is a 180 from my original plan. But I so love how it turned out and wanted to share it with you. Maybe the other idea I had will come out on another day. LOL! Here we go.

Jumbo tag with two mini tag additions. I love hanging tags on tags, as you probably know. :) All these items are from Heidi Swapp with the exception of the dictionary paper which I tore from an old broken dictionary I picked up at the thrift store some years ago for this very purpose. I think it just adds a touch of 'vintage' along with the pink and brown. Is it just me....or does everyone think pink and brown equals vintage? Anyway....

All of the elements (except the dictionary paper) are from various Stop the Blur monthly kits.
I love Heidi's large handwritten stamps. This one is from the January 2021 Stamp Society Valentine themed stamp set.
Using lots of coordinating themed tiny phrases together always makes a cute addition, I think.
Not sure why I was feeling extra lovey yesterday, but I do like how it manifested in this cute vintage-look tag. I'm sure hubsy will like it too, and that's pretty much the point. Haha! :)

Have a great week, friends!

Happy NSD, Crafty Friends- updated

I hope you've made some crafty time for yourself to create something fun today. I will be adding to this post later as I finish up some things I'm working on today. If you belong to the Scrapendipity Studio Crafters group on Facebook, please share your creations. We would love to see what you've made. And if you don't yet belong, join us! More later......

Today I took the new freebie class at Heart Space. Lindsay is always inspiring and I always enjoy the makes we create in her classes. There are five lessons in this class, and we make all of the pictured tags and embellishments you see here. Be sure to check out her class list here. I highly recommend them.

Jumbo tag using the May update release (all from Heidi Swapp), cute library envelope and tag, May mini file folder....
..."show up, do your best..." tag, 3D butterfly accent pieces.

I have taken several of Lindsay's classes and they are well worth your time and money. You don't HAVE to use Heidi Swapp products, substitute what you have, but if you have a love of all things Heidi such as I do, you'll be in good shape. ;) Have fun!
