Paper Smooches, Anything Goes Challenge, card #2

This one is for my dad. I love the Boob Tubes televisions in this cute stamp set. And, face it, didn't all of our dad's call the TV the "boob tube" when we were growing up? LOL! Well, mine did so I think he'll like his card. Here you go.

Paper Smooches, Anything Goes Challenge

UPDATE: This card was one of the winners of this challenge!

Bittersweet today, with Paper Smooches closing their business this summer. The pineapples are from my final purchase of PS stamps. Super cute, just like all of the images Kim does!

Hand-drawn doodle border, stencil and leaf dies by My Favorite Things, and sentiment by Avery Elle. The pineapple on the top is heat embossed with the separate "triangle" stamp that works with the blank pineapple in the set.

I love making the images pop, so cutting 3 or 4 and gluing them together makes a sturdy, almost chipboard-like embellishment. Then add foam tape for more dimension and it gives even more pop to your card.

Paper Smooches, Pineapple Crush
Avery Elle, Mimosa Bar
My Favorite Things, Sunrise Radiating Rays stencil
Distress Ink, Scattered Straw
Distress Oxide, Broken China

My Favorite Things, Bold Greenery dies (retired)
My Favorite Things, Wild Greenery dies (retired)

Pop up birthday cake

This was so easy to make, I think I need to make one with a much bigger pop up inside. The cake is double-sided; this is a design by Jennifer McGuire. I had these images ready for a card but wasn't sure how I was going to use them. This seemed like a great way to incorporate the cake. If only I had got a picture from the side so you can actually see it standing. Oh well. Check out the link above and you can see how it works in Jennifer's card.

I used a couple different sets by My Favorite Things for this one. The background hills and clouds are called Scene Builder (comes with clouds, hills, trees, and grassy patches), Animal Farm (duck), Farm-tastic (animals and fence), The Whole Herd (haystack) and sentiment from Funny Farm Crew by Your Next Stamp .....

...Happy Hippos (cake and party hats), Birth-yay (gifts), and inside sentiment and balloons from Birthday Wishes and Balloons.
