Peony birthday card

I don't know if peonies come in blue, but blue is my mom's favorite color so that's what I used for this peony by Altenew. This time I've combined gold heat embossing with watercolor, using Distress inks.

Happy birthday, mom!

Gold embossed rose

For this card, I decided to try doing some gold embossing combined with copic coloring. I obviously need a lot of practice, but it turned out ok I guess. With layering stamps, I'll need to come up with a better technique when combining coloring, it appears. Comments and suggestions welcomed!

Birthday Card

I’m feeling a little sheepish for being so late to post again. Nonetheless, here you go. ;) I love the sweet sheepies from the Ewe Are the Best stamp set by My Favorite Things. (Links below) This one is for my dad who celebrated his 84th birthday on Tuesday. He raises sheep so I had no choice but to use these adorable images!

My Favorite Things Color Challenge #89

First let me apologize for not having posted since our return from San Diego the 3rd of March. I wish I could say the reason is because I've been so busy crafting, but in truth I've been sick every day since the day we got home. The whole reason for going south for the winter is to avoid the asthma. But the weather did not cooperate with us this trip and it was still pretty wet and cold most of our trip home. I wouldn't mind prayers and good thoughts for this to clear up soon. I'm so very tired of being connected to the nebulizer, downing all this Robitussin (gross!) and sleeping sitting up. Ugh! But I digress....

I did get a couple of birthday cards done, so yay! The first one I sealed in the envelope so fast I forgot to get a picture. Oops. For this one I used the color challenge on the My Favorite Things Card Challenges Blog.
