Who me, stir things up??

I don't always cause trouble, but when I do, it's probably on purpose. LOL! Today's card is for the My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge 639.

The chef and spoon are from the Recipe for Happiness stamp set by My Favorite Things. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches from the Kitschy Kitchen stamp set. Sorry to say Paper Smooches is no longer in business, but I love the stamps I have from them.

I used the spoon and whisk from the Recipe for Happiness set to stamp a background onto the circle and to create a border along the striped paper. The pattern paper is by Doodlebug.

I used foam tape on the chef because that's what I do.
Very few supplies required for this one.

Happy Forever, who doesn't love wedding cards!?

This is one I've had in my mind for months (the wedding was in November - ack!) but it just finally came together. I'm so very happy with the way it turned out. I know it's tradition here in the states that newlywed status lasts the first year of the marriage, so I think 4 months past the wedding is still ok to send a card, right?!

I suppose I could have heat embossed the images as well, but I didn't think of that until just now. LOL Still, they turned out really pretty with the Misty Coast ink color on white cardstock.
Trying to see the stickles but this isn't working. The flowers are layered but no foam tape; the only foam tape is on the sentiment.
That's a better shot of the stickles and embossing.

Product List:
Pinkfresh Studio, You're The Best stamps
Pinkfresh Studio, You're The Best dies
Pinkfresh Studio, Misty Coast ink (background stencil, stamped images)
Ellen Hutson, Essential Arches dies
Waffle Flower, Sentiment Additions stamps and dies (forever)

My Favorite Things, Color Challenge 208

The sweetest, softest color palette for this challenge required a sweet card. I thought the cute little Hunny Bunnies fit perfectly for this one. Hope you like.

I modified the Easter basket from the Spring Gnomes set just a little and filled it with these carrots instead of Easter eggs.
You can see the very subtle background basket weave stencil I used with the MFT Sno Cone ink.

Ready, Set, Christmas!

My Favorite Things, Christmas challenge. What a great way to get a head start on your holiday cards! I love wreaths and wreath designs. Here's my take on a super simple wreath inspired card design.

The background is a crosshatch die by MFT which I thought would add interest. Now that the card is finished, I'm not so sure I like it. LOL If I decide to recreate this design, I will leave that piece off. In my eye, it detracts from the pretty foliage. Anyway...

For the rest of the card I used just one stamp set, Pretty Poinsettias by My Favorite Things.

I used just four copic colors for this one, two greens and two reds. I did use a gold pen to add a little pop to the berries. Also, I stamped the images in gray rather than black which gives it a much softer look than the black I used for the sentiment.

My Favorite Things, Sketch 638

I love the colors in the Vitamin Sea paper pad by Honey Bee Stamps, and while I still had it out on my desk from another project, I decided to use it for this week's sketch challenge.

The sailboat is from the Pig Time Fun stamp set by My Favorite Things. I love coloring this fun image and it works so well with the paper pad.

Cute sentiment from another MFT set, You Keep Me Afloat. The little sea shell guy is from the Island Shell-abration stamps, also by MFT. I added the waves from MFT Beach Buds stamps.
Foam tape gives the elements dimension and makes them pop off the page for more interest.
Here you can see how much dimension a little foam tape can add to an otherwise flat design.

Pinkfresh Studio Washi Tape card

Just a quick post to share a card for a lovely lady who is soon celebrating 90 years young! I used Pinkfresh Studio, Whimsical Blooms washi tape and Pinkfresh Studio Stained Glass cover plate die for this one. The gold foiled sentiment is from Pinkfresh as well.

My Favorite Things, Color Challenge 207

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of winter. It is FINALLY starting to warm up here (50s) and the snow is FINALLY gone from our yard so today's card is dedicated to the beach! I've combined the color challenge with the sketch challenge. Let's take a look.

I used a lot of different My Favorite Things products for this one. All the fish and sea elements are from different sets. The three different waves are from the mini slimline outside the box set; waves, and snow drifts. The rocks are from the BB Adorable Adventures stamp set, the clam from Island Shell-abration, bubbles and sea plants from Gill Friends, and the dolphin and splash from the Friends with Fins stamp set.
I used foam tape on the jumping dolphin, because dolphins jump!

Product List:
My Favorite Things, Friends with Fins (dolphin, splash)
My Favorite Things, Island Shell-abration (clam)
My Favorite Things, Gill Friends (sea plants, bubbles)
My Favorite Things, Adorable Adventures (rocks)
My Favorite Things, Mini Slimline Outside the Box dies (waves, snow drifts)
My Favorite Things, Skinny Strips dies (sentiment strip, blue strip)
My Favorite Things, Ink Cubes (Something Blue, Blue Beyond)
Ellen Hutson, Warm Fuzzies (sentiment)
Copic Markers, B23, B39, RV000, T2
Water mister, scrap of navy cardstock, blending brush (for sky)

My Favorite Things, Combined Challenges

Hello crafters. Today's card is a two for one as I have a combined two challenges. This is for the My Favorite Things current sketch, 637 as well as the Ready, Set, Christmas challenge.

I tried to keep it simple so as not to be overwhelming with all the heat embossing. I think it worked out. The striped border is just strips of copic marker masked off. The circles are stamped in Versamark and heated with gold embossing powder. I used a gold metallic pen for the strings.
It's a single layer card so it'll be easy to mail. No foam tape anywhere! The tiny holly and bow embellishments are from various stamp sets and the sentiment strip is one I had in my stash.

My Favorite Things, Sketch 636

For this week's sketch, I used the adorable You Keep Me Afloat stamp set. I know, I know, there is still snow on the ground (at least, at my house anyway UGH) but anything summer related helps, you know?

Soaking up the sun sounds so heavenly. That's me in the little boat snoozing - you can tell by my belly. LOL!!
The sentiment is from the Spec-tacular stamp set by My Favorite Things.
The lovely papers - I LOVE the colors - are from the Vitamin Sea paper pad from Honey Bee Stamps.

Copic colors used for this one.
