Missing you card

Loving the Sweetheart release by Lifestyle Crafts! Here I've used two of the nesting scalloped hearts. I love these! They're kind of buried under the embellishments, but in person you can see them well. The backdrop is LC Possibilities, Nesting Frames3.

I stamped the sentiment on a lacy circle from LC Possibilities.

And embellished with one of my handmade flowers, butterfly and some tulle. The script background on the smaller heart is by My Creative Time, as is the sentiment.

Product List:
Lifestyle Crafts, Sweetheart, nesting scallop hearts
Lifestyle Crafts, Possibilities, nesting frames 3
Lifestyle Crafts, Possibilities, nesting lacy circles
Spellbinders foliage dies
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
Paper rose, handmade by me
My Creative Time, Script Type and Happy Mail stamp sets
Love ticket by Tim Holtz
Pattern papers by 3 Bugs in a Rug and My Mind's Eye
Bazzill textured cardstock
Ink, wire, pearl beads, ribbon, tulle

ETA: A note about mailing. I've been asked about sending my cards through the mail. They travel well in a regular padded mailer with extra postage. Other than that, no special packaging or handling is required.

Thank you for looking. I hope you'll be inspired to branch out with your nesting dies and do something outside the box. :)

Itsy bitsy apple pies!

First let me say these were super easy to make and turned out awesome!!!! Secondly, I think I will try making them in regular size muffin tins next time. These mini size are fab, but for one bite I don't know if it's worth it. Hahaha! Still.....YUM! Found this on Pinterest and made them for the Pinterest Weekend Event on Facebook.

Ok so here you see the ingredients and supplies I used for mine. The original pinner made her pie filling from scratch, but I didn't have apples and I did have this filling, so this is what I used. I did, however, chop it up as it was whole slices and too big for the muffin tins. Click here to see the original recipe.

My recipe:
1 Pillsbury pie crust
1 can apple pie filling, chopped into bits (whole pieces won't fit into the mini muffin tins)
2 tablespoons butter, cut into 12 pieces
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Cinnamon and sugar
Biscuit cutter
Mini cookie cutter
Mini muffin pan

Using biscuit cutter, cut 12 circles from the pie crust and place each into a muffin cup. Roll out the leftover dough and cut 12 shapes for the tops of your pies.

Fill each with pie filling and top with one of the butter pieces. Place a cookie shape on top. Once all are filled and covered, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake in 375F oven 18-22 minutes.

And DONE!

I've put this on the Recipes page as well, so if you come back for it later, you can go directly to that page.

Valentine Topiary

Cutie cute topiary design by my good buddy and DT sister from My Creative Time, Leanne Garner. Click here to see her blog. This little project is so much fun to make.

Can you guess what this is made of...... mini cupcake papers!!!! Simply hot-glued onto a styrofoam ball! It would be fun to make these for different occasions, holidays, baby shower, bridal shower, you name it! The themes are endless and you can make it in a couple of hours.

I used a wood dowel for the stem and wrapped it with ribbon then embellished with a bow and some pretty white beady-looking floral stems. The tag are Quickutz dies and the sentiment is from My Creative Time, Be Mine mini stamp set.

Product List:
styrofoam ball {mine is 4 inches-I wouldn't go any bigger than that}
mini cupcake papers, approximately 100
wood dowel, 12 inches
pot or dish
floral styrofoam
spanish moss
ribbon, hot glue gun, tag and sentiment if you wish - My Creative Time

Make your own adorable gumball machine!

I found this completely adorable gumball machine idea on Pinterest last week and thought what a sweet idea it is and just had to make it. Well wouldn't you know, this weekend the Pinterest Facebook page is sponsoring a Pinterest Weekend event where you choose something to make or create that you found on pinterest and share pics of your finished project with the group! I'm having a blast and have made three of my pins already! Woot! Go me. :) This is my favorite so far!

Here is the original link to see the one on pinterest.

Product List:
Terra cotta plant pot and saucer
Glass dish from the Dollar Store
Styrofoam ball (she used a wooden bead but I didn't have one big enough)
Acrylic paints, ribbon, vinyl, fabric paint (I used that for the white dots on the lid)
I used vinyl for my flower/heart design but you can paint or stencil yours, whatever you like. Other than the circle, the rest of the shapes I cut by hand.

Valentine cupcake picks

Guess what day it is.......yep! FRIDAY! Woot! My favorite day on God's calendar. :) Don't ask me why I like Friday best, rather than say a weekend day, cuz I don't know the answer. LOL! It probably goes back to my school days when it was the last day of my week. Doesn't matter, IT'S TODAY!!! :)

For today's post I've made these adorable cupcake treat bags and Valentine picks using My Creative Time dies and stamps, and rosettes.

Sweet little ladybug is from the Classmate Valentines set, and the star burst is from the Build a Banner kit, both by My Creative Time.

This stamp is from the 100% Sweetness stamp set, and the stitched circle from the Build a Banner Kit.

And this one is my favorite of the three. The zebra and sentiment stamps are from Classmate Valentines, the starburst from Build a Banner kit and the stitched heart die is from 100% Sweetness.

and the cupcakes....they turned out delicious!!! This was my first time filling cupcakes and I basically just winged it. Not bad for a first try...and all from mixes btw. ;)

Product List:
My Creative Time 100% Sweetness
My Creative Time Classmate Valentines
My Creative Time Build a Banner kit
Rosettes; various edge dies and border punches
Cardstock and pattern paper scraps

MCT Throwback Thursday Challenge

Welcome to another Throwback Thursday with My Creative Time! Today's challenge is to use any cartridge that has something to do with Valentine's Day, and any My Creative Time stamp that has to do with Valentine's Day.

I'm still a baby when it comes to my Cricut Cartridge stash {I have only a few compared to the rest of the MCT team! LOL} so I made due with what I had. For my Valentine card, I used the Bloom cartridge for my birdcage.

and used foam tape to pop it off the card for dimension.

You can see the clear embossing I used with the new Be Mine mini set.

Product List:

My Creative Time, 100% Sweetness
My Creative Time, Be Mine

More from the LC Sweetheart release

If you are looking for the My Creative Time Blog Hop, click here to enter!

Hearts are classic. They are appropriate for any occasion or even a non-occasion. Because when you think about it, love is always there, never ending. I truly love "love" and all it stands for. In the words of my grandgirl, Grace, hearts are "so romantical." Ahh, to see love through the eyes of a 9 year old, huh?!

So today's project showcases more of the Sweetheart release from Lifestyle Crafts. I used two sizes from the nesting scalloped hearts set, the largest oval from the original Quickutz nesting ovals set, and the Eiffel Tower from Around the World, France.

For the sentiment I used the LC Banners and Arrows set with stamps by My Creative Time. {Please excuse the hairy leaf - I didn't notice that paper string until I viewed the close up photo. It's gone now. LOL}

A little bling to dress up the larger heart. Don't you love that paper? It looks so....French. {LOL}
...and a closer look at the Eiffel Tower. I cut three of them and glued them together before attached with foam tape.

Product List:
Lifestyle Crafts Sweetheart scallop heart dies
Lifestyle Crafts banners and arrows
Quickutz nesting ovals
Quickutz around the world, France
Quickutz leaves, RS0101
Spellbinders foliage
Rose, handmade by me
Bazzill textured cardstock
My Mind's Eye, Love Me 6x6 paper pad
Sheer ribbon, ink, Spica glitter pen, bling, pearl beads

Thank you for coming by! Be sure to check out more types of nesting hearts sets in the Scrapbuggy store. There are plain hearts, lacy hearts, scallops, doilies and more...and all are so pretty. :)

GOOD LUCK!
Ok let's get to the goodies! For today's sneak peek I've used the Gift Card die along with the yet to be released Script Background stamp {this is awesome you guys!!!!} and a sentiment from the also new set coming out, More Gift Card Sentiments.

I used Prima flowers {sorry, I didn't do handmade this time!} and a fern leaf punch, adding the pink pearl and attaching to sheer pink ribbon with hot glue. I then hot glued that embellishment to the ribbon around the gift card holder. It can be removed easily and used to tie in a little girl's hair or to embellish another project.

For this project I wanted the script background to be subtle, so I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Vintage Photo on cream colored cardstock {I think this is Vanilla by Bazzill}. It's exactly the look I was going for. Isn't it gorgeous?

And the sentiment I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa. I really like how this came out!

Product List:
My Creative Time, Gift Card die
My Creative Time, More Gift Card Sentiments {not yet released}
My Creative Time, Script Background {not yet released}
Bazzil textured cardstock, Vanilla
Tim Holtz Distress Inks Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Memento Ink Rich Cocoa
Ribbon, prima flowers, pearl bead, fern punch
