Hello Wreath

After making my card for the Color Throwdown Challenge (see previous post), I had some colored pieces leftover that didn't make it onto the finished project. Going through my stash box I found this grapevine wreath die cut from Memory Box waiting to make its appearance onto a new card and chose it to go with the extra pieces from yesterday. I almost like it better than the first card! 

As I always say, don't throw that away! You can almost always use it on another project. ;) Hope you like this one.

Using a blending brush, I added just a subtle hint of a color band above and below the wreath.

Don't forget the foam tape for dimension.

Perfect color combo for this card I made for my mom. Blue is her favorite! This one is a new challenge for me. I don't know where I've been to have missed this weekly challenge, but I'll definitely be playing along when I can! Here is my entry for this week's color throw down.

CASology Challenge, Mask

Today's challenge card is for the CAS (clean and simple)-ology challenge. The inspiration for this challenge is "mask" - take it how you will. I decided to use washi tape to mask off a border for my card. 

*NOTE: I just realized I missed a space on the border!!! That's colored in now, just not pictured. LOL!!

UPDATE: This card won the Design Challenge for September!! I'm so excited. I love GSD and the win gets me a gift certificate to the store! Who doesn't love free crafty money?! :) 

Today's card features Gerda Steiner's adorable Gourds stamp set from the new release. I really think these are so cute and totally unique. Their little faces are the sweetest. And combined with the ghosts set also by GSD, I think it's irresistible!!! Hope it makes you smile. 

I love that even the little ghosts are scared! LOL

Yes, I know I already did this challenge, but I can't help myself when it comes to Halloween and box cards. To combine them is like my crafty heaven! :)
