Card...just playing

This one started out to be a background. I'm terrible at backgrounds, I say this all the time and I still feel that way. LOL Anyway, when I got to a certain point on this one, I decided it was too fun to cover up, so I kept going with it and just made it a card front instead of background.

Trick or Treat cluster, Halloween cluster, and Halloween word are by Kerri Bradford Studios. Everything else is Heidi Swapp. In addition to black, ink colors I used are Distress Oxide Twisted Citron, Dried Marigold, and Vintage Photo.

Halloween decor

Dollar Tree has really stepped up their game in the last couple of years and I'm all for it! I grabbed some of their awesome Halloween florals and a candle stand to ramp up my cute little ghost tea light holder. Super simple and fun project.

Supplies from Dollar Tree:
Black candle stand, about 4 inches tall (yay! I don't even have to paint it.)
Floral foam
Halloween floral picks of your choice
Mini tree ornaments (black, orange, purple -16 to a pack)
Ribbon of your choice (I used buffalo plaid, black/white gingham, and black velvet)

Glue gun, hot glue sticks
Wire cutters, wire
Ghost tea light holder I already had

I think he turned out so cute!

A new fall wreath

Technically, it is not fall, we all know this. The thermometer knows this as well as the calendar, as it was 86 today. Significantly cooler than it has been, thank goodness, but still not fall. Anyway, I made my fall wreath to replace my beach theme summer one. I love the colors out this fall and decided to go with a non-traditional palette. That jewel toned teal had me!!

I started by taking apart a terribly faded wreath I've had for some time. I used the grapevine form as the base for my new one. Almost everything I used here is from Dollar Tree, with just one piece from Joanns that I got from 60% off.

When I put it outside I'll get some better pictures. This is hanging inside at the moment.

Halloween again

After my Halloween tag yesterday, I figured, why not make another before I put everything away? So I did. Honestly, I think Halloween crafts might be my favorite.

Same colors as yesterday's tag - black with Distress Oxide Rusty Hinge. I also sprinkled in a couple of Kerri Bradford Studio stamps again.
More fun goodies from last year's release.
I love mixing fonts for a delicious title. And the super cool flourishes are from the July 24, Stamp Society set.

Halloween tag...yes, I said, Halloween!

I got the bug yesterday. I took down my summer decor and started working on fall and Halloween projects. Can you even believe we are already nearing the END of August! Dang this year has flown by.

The Heidi Swapp haunted mansion set was calling me and I couldn't say no. Here is my first Halloween tag of the season, just for fun.

This font is one of my all time favorites and I was elated when I found it available in Kerri Bradford Studio's shop! It's perfectly whimsical, or can be spooky, or just plain fun.
Of course, Haunting 23, from Heidi Swapp for the haunted mansion. I secretly hope she'll have more pieces coming this year to add to the mansions. {crossing fingers!}

Some pieces from last year's Halloween sets.

I won!!

The 10 day tag challenge is complete. Here is a refresher of all my tags from day10 to day 1. I am excited to say, I won a gift certificate for Heidi bucks! As always, Heidi's classes are so fun and inspirational. My new addiction, as you probably know by now if you follow me at all. LOL.

If you are a maker and especially if you are a lover of all things Heidi Swapp, I encourage you to take one of her many classes. Super fun!

This was my favorite day. I loved making these vintage look airport tags!

I switched up the butterflies on this one from the original post. I finally got some really pretty butterfly stamps in my stash. Never had a thing for butterflies, so I never got any decent stamps till I found this awesome set by Tim Holtz.

Thanks for all the encouragement and wonderful compliments on my work. I truly love doing it. :)

Heidi Swapp 10 day Challenge, Day 10

FINALLY! I was so excited to finally get the delayed delivery of the July subscriptions. This jumbo camera stamp is so fun to work with. In today's tag challenge, we amped it up with some dimension and put it on and in and super cute pocket. Let's check it out.

We have lots of interactive elements to this one, which I love, making it a super fun project to make and to share. I love tags that are so extra!

Tags within tags within tags. Super love!

As always, let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer. Be sure to include your email address in your comment so I can reply.

Every picture tells a story

I love the July stamp society stamp set from Heidi Swapp. Apparently, a WHOLE WORLD of other people love it too, because my order (placed on Jul 18) FINALLY arrived at my doorstep three weeks later! It felt like forever as I watched all the crafty loveliness with this set being shared on IG and FB! Anyway, here is my first project with this awesome stamp set.

The vintage camera is everything!!! Look at the size of it too. But then you add all the great photo related sentiments and those flourishes ... what's not to love!?

Distress Oxide colors I used are Kitsch Flamingo, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain. Jumbo tag is 3.5x7.5 inches.
