Heidi, Unedited, Day 4

You know how much I love interactive elements on my cards...and you know after my post from Day 3 that I was disappointed in being unsuccessful creating the interactive element on that day's card. I was so bummed (the moon was supposed to have a window in it with a spinner that revealed different Halloween elements as it turned), but yay for Day 4, a simple pocket card with a pull out that turned out so cute. Hope you like my Halloween joke!

Heidi Swapp, Unedited

This awesome project is Day 2 of the Unedited class. Talk about fun! To get a better idea of how fun this was, this card is about 7 1/2 x3 1/2 inches. and the door opens! So very cool. Check it out.

Heidi used papers from her Haunting collection which came out for Halloween. However, thankfully, she included a printable of the door in the class - I don't have the Haunting paper collection or I would have had to flunk this lesson. So happy I got to complete it!! I did not have vellum for the ghost, so I used a piece of project protector envelope thingy that had ripped and cut a couple of ghosts with a die.
The papers I used (because I don't have the Haunting collection as I mentioned) were random Halloween papers from previous years that I've had in my stash for ages. They fit beautifully!

And look....the door opens (insert creaky haunted house door sounds here)
Fun message inside.

Unedited, with Heidi Swapp

Another one from Heidi's Unedited class. For the last five days of October, she did one project, filmed and completely unedited, start to finish. This was day 3. Now, this was supposed to have an interactive element, however, after three failed attempts, I was unable to improvise with the products I have on hand so I opted to leave off that part of the tag. I still love it, but it would have been super extra if I'd had the spinner die from Heidi Swapp. Oh well.

Poison Apothecary

I LOOOOOVE this one (but truly, I love them all. LOL)! This was such fun using two of my most favorite Heidi Swapp releases together on one project. Another design by Lindsay Bateman, Potions videos.

Halloween inspiration continued

More from Lindsay's Potions class. I'm sad that October is over to be honest! Until I get fully engrossed in Christmas projects, of course. Haha!

Again, products for this project by Heidi Swapp. Please feel free to contact me (comment here, email, facebook, or Instagram) if you have specific questions and I'll be happy to answer.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween may be over for 2023, but I have yet to share some of the projects I made for the season. I love Halloween for all the fun projects and the decorating, but that's the only reason. I don't pass out candy anymore as there are no littles on our street now - they've all grown up! And with all the schools and kids' groups doing 'trunk or treat' type activities we juts don't get trick or treaters. It's ok We're old now too. Besides, if I buy a big bunch of candy in anticipation, Randy turns the porch light off and claims it for his own! Hahaha!! P.S. not a single trick or treater tonight.

This one is from an awesome free class by Lindsay Bateman called Potions. There was one each week of October, plus a bonus video. FUN! You can follow her fabulousness on Instagram. Isn't this a great design. I love everything about it!!!

Pop up surprise Halloween card

This one is an amazing design by Heidi Swapp. I loved taking this class. Believe it or not, this is not as difficult as it may first seem. But it packs a punch, wouldn't you say?!

Day 1 of 5

Pull up the tab at the top and SURPRISE!
It's really hard to see in my poor photos, but the slider pop up is acetate. Because it's clear, you can barely tell it's there when it's up like this.

Before I go, I want to mention this class has a bonus video as well. You will learn how to make the DIY Custom Blend Distress Oxide ink pad we used in this class. I used it on my pumpkins and trees. Isn't it perfect for a spooky vibe?! I've named it Haunting, as that is the collection we used for this project. And to be clear, this is a color photo - it's just the colors are spooky grays and black shades. LOL

November tag

We are almost there. I can't believe the entire year is nearly over already!! It's been quite a non-traditional one for the Hoff household. If you have followed my blog at all, you know what I'm talking about. But crafting has been a lifesaver for me and I will continue to do it until my hands no longer function. :)

Today I'm sharing my first tag using the Heidi Swapp November Agenda stamp set (December is due to release any time now as well.) Ack! Bye, bye 2023 - and GOOD RIDDANCE. LOL

Mini tags. I love using mini tags. I fussy cut the mixer and colored it with copics, the added it with the 'good food, good mood' mini tag. So cute!
I love using staples but usually forget about them. This needed a little something, and it worked out perfectly to staple my little tag there.
