Happy Sunday. I hope you've had a great weekend! I sure did. Yesterday we drove to my daughter's "new" house for the first time since they remodeled. It's gorgeous! And with a view of Lake Chelan, they have a really nice place to live. BUT, on top of that excitement, we also got to see the grands, whom we haven't seen in a few years! Jeffery is in his second enlistment in the Marine Corps, having spent most of the past few years in Japan and Australia. He is "home" on leave for a couple more weeks and will then head to his new assignment in Missouri. Grace was over as well so we finally got to meet her boyfriend too. They've been together 4 years (or is it 5 now??). I can't tell you how much I have missed her since she became a grown up and has a busy life now. Lots of long hugs!!! I may or may not have gotten a little teary eyed. 

Today I'm back in the studio with a card for the current MFT sketch challenge (you know sketches are my fave!). We had a little thunder and rain this morning so I was feeling a little autumny and used the MFT Harvest Mouse stamp set for my card. I love summer but the heat gets to me after a bit (we've had temps in the 110s this year- GROSS!!) so when it cools down I am SO READY for fall! Here is my card for this week's challenge:

MFT Slimline Challenge, Feeling Beachy

Mini slimline cards are among my new favorite styles, and this challenge is perfect for showing off this card style. I used four sets by My Favorite Things to make my card. 

Today is also Day 7 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. :) 

I thought this sentiment was the perfect choice for my "deep sea" card design!

MFT Camp Create, Day 5 Delightful Die Cutting

It's already the last day of Camp Create with My Favorite Things! *sniff sniff* But not to fear, if you wanted to play but haven't finished, you still have until August 11 to link your projects for prize eligibility. Today's project is Delightful Die Cutting. I love dies, as you probably know by now, and I love popping them with foam tape for dimension. Here's my card for Day 5. 

The die cuts and sentiment are by Ellen Hutson, from the new Julie Ebersole release, It's a Jungle. Love the adorable Tiki Idols. The pattern papers are by My Favorite Things from the 6x6 Fun and Frolic paper pack (retired), and the border die (also retired, sorry) is the Stepped Up Chevron. I think it's perfect for this kind of "island" feel, and depending what papers you use is also an excellent choice for a southwest design. My coloring medium of choice, Copic markers.

MFT Color Challenge 170 & Outside the Box Birthday Bonanza

Today's card combines two My Favorite Things challenges! For the color challenge I used the Birdie Brown Festive Old Friends stamp set, and for the box card I used my favorite, Level Up dies. The cake is from a stamp set by Ellen Hutson called, surprisingly, Cake, LOL and the sentiment-You're Not a Year Older. 2020 Didn't Count- is from the MFT Festive Old Friends set. Perfect, isn't it!
