Sorry for the long time, no post

Gosh, I'm sorry for not having any project to post today. I had that nasty cold for a week, and just when I thought I would be rejoining the land of the living, it left a really bad asthma attack on its way out. So I've been working on getting that under control this week. I'm so sick of the nebulizer and inhaler and kleenex....I just want to breathe and taste food again.

Today feels like it could be one of, if not the, last day on the machine. But I don't want to rush it so we'll see how the rest of the day plays out. I'm due for another treatment here shortly, which is why I'm up right now, and feeling good that it could be one of the final treaments. Yay!

Hope to have new projects again very soon, but in the meantime here is one of my faves from the past. Thanks for all the prayers, good thoughts and well wishes while I've been gone.

Peek-a-Boo...

...a Valentine for you! :)

Sorry I've been absent the past couple of days. I've had a horrible cold all week and it has pretty much kicked my butt. blah! But I did want to post with the new Valentine release from the Scrapping Cottage. I used the kitty peeker on this one. Isn't she sweet!

For my card base, I've used the postage stamp die. To make the base, take a piece of cardstock slightly larger than the twice the size of the die shape and fold it in half. Place the folded card on the die with the folded edge not quite all the way to the edge of the die and run through. Now you're ready to embellish!

Thanks for "peeking" in today. I'll have more to share from this adorable release as I start to feel better and have more energy for playing!

Who says you can't take it with you?!

Of course you can! Just put it in this adorable tiny little take out box! If you don't think this is stinkin' cute, well.....well, then I don't know what's wrong with you. LOL!

This super sweet little take out box is one of the latest Lifestyle Crafts releases. Finished size is no bigger than 2 inches! I embellished one with the smallest of the nesting tickets and hearts from the Buggy Designs, Build-a-Cupcake. I used heart shaped brads to fasten the box closed.

For second box, I made a wire handle like a real take out box (pardon it's bendyness, I don't have a wire straightener), and added the lips to one side of the box, and the strawberry/heart, also new this release, on the other side. I tied lace ribbon to the wonky handle. ;)

You can see the heart brad on one and the wire on the other holding them together. To add the "kiss" ticket after made the box, I punch a tiny hole and slit with the scissors then slipped it around the wire handle.

You can also put the box together this way, folding the outside "flaps" to the inside. Either way, this adorable box is a great way to present a small gift or sweet treat for someone special.

I hope you're enjoying these latest projects from the Lifestyle Crafts release. I'm having a blast with these versatile shapes and fun 3D boxes, bags and more.

Have a crafty week, blog friends!

"Be Mine" Vintage Valentine

The new Cottage Cutz postage stamp die is one of my new faves. I love this shape! :) Here it is on a vintage looking card. I also used the heart shape from the heart locket die and the "be mine" stamp. The white rabbit image is a freebie digital design I found online and colored with copics. Pattern papers and polka dot brad on the ribbon are Making Memories.

Paper doily, pearls, buttons, ribbon and lace can add a vintage feel to almost any project, IMO. My motto for vintage is, add a little more if you think you have too much and then it will be just right! You can see I went a little nuts with the flowers, bling and pearls but I think it works!

Happy crafting!
