MFT Sketch #562

For the sketch challenge this week at My Favorite Things. Masking, stenciling, inking, and spraying, oh my!

I used the mini slimline size for my card. First, I cut the panel edge using My Favorite Things stitched scallop border edge die. I then taped off the edge and space for another border next to it. Inked the second border and stenciled the dots using Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina (yummy color- pics don't do it justice), then ran my blending brush along the scallop using Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves.
Now I'm ready for the snowflakes. I should have colored them before cutting them out but I didn't know at that time what I was going to do exactly. Anyway, I sprayed them with Distress Spray Stain, Dusty Concord and let them dry. Sadly, I wasn't careful and got overspray on my card panel which is bugging me right now, but c'est la vie. I'll live, right? LOL
For the sentiment I used the Mini Merry Messages sentiment set and stamped it onto a circle which I then mounted with foam tape. Voila! Not a single copic in sight, can you believe that! ;)
In the end, I like it the more I look at it. The overspray is bugging me less and less. Hope you like it too!
