Story Doors by Heidi Swapp

The final lesson from the All Tricks class by Lindsay Bateman. These "story doors" are such a fun item from the Heidi Swapp shop and can be used in oh so many ways. This one is obviously a Halloween project but just imagine the possibilities!! School days, Christmas, birthdays, baby shower, wedding card - the ideas just never end. I really enjoyed this class and, as always, highly recommend Lindsay's wonderful and inspiring designs. You can find the class link and all the details here

Here is my vision of this fantastic project. I hope you like it! What started out white is now awesomely spooky and grungy, using a blending brush and distress oxide walnut stain ink.

Super cute added mini tag just for fun, because why not!
Lots of fun Halloween stamps from Heidi Swapp, along with Kerri Bradford Studios, and tangled webs by Tim Holtz.
I knew the moment I saw the June 24 Stamp Society set that I HAD to have it for this ornate frame to showcase this awesome skull. Gorgeous!
With the doors open
Layered tags behind the doors.

All Tricks Halloween Banner

The next project I'm sharing from the All Tricks class is this super cute clipboard banner. I love making Halloween projects and this one is no exception. Lindsay brings such fun ideas to the table and I can't say enough about her fabulous ideas and wonderful classes. I could, honestly, make Halloween projects all year. I don't know why, but they are my absolute favorite things to make. (though you wouldn't know it if you drove by my house on Halloween. What's that about?? Haha!)

So here we are with the cutest little Halloween themed clipboards you ever did see. I've had to get pictures a bit at a time since the banner is quite long. It is so cute and I love how it turned out.

Again, papers, dies and stamps by Heidi Swapp, along with some of her 2022 Halloween ephemera.

Trick or Treat ... yes, already!

It might seem early to most, working on Halloween projects, but in the crafting world it's time for spooky fun! The latest class from Lindsay Bateman, called All Tricks, is up and running, and you can bet I ran to take her class. These projects are such fun to create and Lindsay's designs never disappoint. Here is the first project, 13 Doors tag album. I love it.

Using Heidi Swapp dies, openable tag and doors from the Christmas 23 release, we created this fun little album that can be used for photos, notes, or journaling. Stamps are by Heidi Swapp with some tangled webs by Tim Holtz, and papers are from the Heidi Swapp Hallows 22 paper pack.

All the doors open, and the tags open as well.

Stay tuned for the next project coming up!

You can find the All Tricks class at Heart Space along with all of Lindsay's other fantastic classes. I highly recommend them!

Heidi Swapp, Sentiments class, Lessons 1-3

Newest class in the Heidi Swapp shop is Stamp Therapy, Sentiments: Thoughtfulness Elevated. There are 10 lessons in the class. This one is proving to be another great class with lots of interactive pieces. Purchase the class and you will receive the Card Sentiments stamp set as part of the class. I love this new set. In addition to the sentiments stamp set, we are also using the new release Flower Garden stamps and dies, and Thank You Notes stamp set.  If you are a card maker, this class is for you.

Lesson 1: Messages

We spent some time getting used to the new stamp set and practicing stacking and clustering sentiments. We'll use these practice sheets in the next lessons.

Card Sentiments Stamp Set, included with the purchase of the class.

Lesson 2: Add Color

Lesson 3: Flower Power

Next Lesson: Floral Design
