Heidi Swapp 10 Day Tag Challenge, Day 2

This is Day 2 of the HS 10 Day Tag Challenge. (Day 1 will be coming soon - waiting on supplies.) I love the fun technique we used on this one. We stamped a scene from which we die cut our letters. Fun look, which I've done before, but this was a little different in that I have usually used flowers or something specific rather than an actual scene.

Here you see the scene that was cut from. I used 8 distress oxide colors and 8 or 9 (sorry, I forgot to count before I put them away!) Heidi Swapp stamp sets, in addition to items from Heidi's STB subscription kits and sticker paper.

Full tag

The letters, stamped onto aged look sticker paper, die cut, then slightly sanded around the edges. 

More stamping on the remainder of the tag, following the 'cruising/travel' theme. 

I love adding little mini tags to a big tag. 

Isn't the little tote bag so cute. The mini tag actually tucks inside of it.

Thinking of You

Today's tag is an interactive vintage typewriter with a sweet message that "rolls" out. I love this adorable stamp by Tim Holtz. The light bulbs are also in the same TH set, but everything else is Heidi Swapp.

I added foundry wax in gilded (gold) to the tops of the light bulbs, then glossy accents for a 'glass' look. 

The typewriter is on foam tape so the 'letter' can slide in and out to read the message.

Look at the details on this clipboard by Heidi Swapp. It's paper!! And yes, the paper slips under the clip just like a real clipboard. Don't you just love it! 

Distress Oxide colors for this one are Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood. 

Western style

How about a western theme. The new Cowboy Update stamp set from Heidi Swapp was an immediate favorite and while I was building another road trip tag, this idea popped into my head and I had to create it right away! I super love it. What do you think?

Distress Oxide colors I used here are Chipped Sapphire, Aged Mahogany, Candied Apple, Crushed Olive, Bundled Sage, Walnut Stain, and Pumice Stone . The washi tape and ribbon are from Heidi Swapp; foam tape, glossy accents, and gold metallic pen. 

Summer is for road trips!

Another fun and colorful tag using two (or three?) awesome stamp sets from Heidi Swapp. I have such fun making these vintage look signs! Hope you enjoy them too.

Scenic Route

This one is another nod to my husband, and actually a prompt to myself. I'm always the one who just wants to get home after we finish errands and such, no scenic route for me, that takes too long. I used to love it when we were on bike trips, but since we no longer have the motorcycle I'm just an old lady who wants to go home. Hahaha!  He wants to take a different way home every time and makes me nuts. So I'm trying to expand my horizons and enjoy the long way home like we used to do.
