MCT 3D Wednesday & Blog Hop Winner!

Welcome to 3D Wednesday with My Creative Time. Before we get started with today's project, let me first announce the winner of this month's new release Blog Hop--Kim'sKreations, who said:
Love your flowers. The card is so elegant and simple. Emma's new release is awesome.
Kim wins the new Dots and Stripes 6x6 paper pad by Echo Park. Congratulations!

Ok, now for 3D Wednesday. Today's project was so much fun to make. I found this adorable idea at this sweet lady's blog and had to make one. I think this would be the sweetest gift presentation for a baby shower or Mother's Day Tea....wouldn't it be pretty for a bride to present her Bridesmaids gifts? So many ways to use this cute idea. This gorgeous fairy paper is by Graphic45 and seemed perfect for a baby theme. I have to say, this is so much prettier in person. The photos don't do it justice.

Side view. I folded in the sides on this one, but it's just as cute when they are left open.
Tabs are just a label folded over and hole punched.

For the tag I used MCT Scalloped circle and Stitched circle die set with the new release, All Around Everything, All Around Everything Accessories.

Using the new rolled flower die and scalloped circle die I made this pretty flower embellishment. In the photo above, that flower is also from the scalloped circle die.

Watch Me Grow page topper

Today's project is sort of a flashback for me. It's not a layout, a card, or a 3D project either. Today I made a page topper! It's a flashback because I used to sell page sets, pieces and embellishments on eBay. It's been so long since I did these. Wow. But anyway, getting back to the present... LOL!

For today's project I used the Gardening Accessories die. This has the cutest little pieces on it and I thought it would be the perfect set for a child page or a baby album.

I thought the seeds and pots were the cutest way to show the progression of growing. For the main title word I used the Quickutz English Rose alphabet. I used the bouquet from the Wedding Accessories die for the full grown plant.
The smaller part of the title is the Quickutz Oatmeal alphabet. And of course I had to add one of my roses.

Product List:
Buggy Designs Gardening Accessories
Buggy Designs Wedding Accessories
Quickutz Alpha, English Rose
Quickutz Alpha, Oatmeal
Lifestyle Crafts, nesting leaves
Spellbinders foliage set
Pattern papers by October Afternoon
Bazzill textured cardstock
Handmade paper rose, ribbon

I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Earth Day

In observation of Earth Day, I decided to use recycled materials for my crafting project today. Isn't this adorable!? I can see this as a great presentation for a sweet little hostess gift, baby shower gift, mother's day, birthday, thank you......anything!!! My mind is reeling with a zillion color schemes and pattern paper choices! And you can make these in larger sizes too if you so desire.

and the tag, in keeping with the Earth Day theme, is a garden apron and leaf. Sentiment is from My Creative Time's newest release, Bloom Where You Are Planted. (the view is sideways so you can read the tag)

This is the packaging from a set of BigShot cutting pads.

Cut the centers out and discard the outer ridged parts, so you have two nice sized, flat pieces to work with.  Cut them to size for whatever project you are making. I'm doing a gift-bag-in-a-box. Usually made with paper, but let's see how it looks made from this clear packaging!

That's all for today. I hope you enjoyed this little project. Such a fun one too. :) What's the last thing you used in your crafting that normally gets thrown out?

Product List:
Plastic packaging
October Afternoon pattern paper
Bazzill textured cardstock
My Creative Time, Scalloped circle die
My Creative Time, Bloom Where You Are Planted stamp set
Quickutz Nesting Leaves die
Scrapbuggy Button Bear Gardening Accessories die
Jute twine, hot glue, border punch

Handmade flower wreath

I am so proud of this project! It's one of my all time favorites and hangs on the door to my craft room so I can look at it every day. :) Idea is not my own, I saw one on pinterest and fell in love with it.

Every flower is made from paper with my own two hands. I love the variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

Thank you for stopping by to see my extra special project today!!!! I hope you love it. I sure do!

Birthday card

If you are looking for the MCT Blog Hop, scroll to the post below, or CLICK HERE

My daughter's birthday is next Sunday. I hope she likes her card. I love the colors and patterns in this paper pad.

The flower is made using Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One.

Sentiment is My Creative Time, Floral Sentiments, from the brand new release! Isn't this a pretty font.

It looks crooked, but really it's not. It's the lay of the polka dots that makes the sentiment banner look crooked. The die slipped and my polka dot piece came out a little cockeyed. Still I think it's pretty and I don't think Sally will notice that much...oh wait, who am I kidding!? She's even more OCD than her mother. Oh well, I know she'll still like the card. LOL!

Thanks for stopping. And be sure to come back tomorrow for a super special project! I can't wait to share it with you! Hint: FLOWERS!
