Thanksgiving in The Big Apple, Part 2

Continuing with our Thanksgiving week in New York, our second full day was really jam-packed. After breakfast, we began a bus tour around Central Park and the financial district. This awesome building across from Central Park is the New York Cancer Hospital, built over 1884 to 1886. I just loved the look of the old building.

This statue stands at the entrance to Central Park.

We disembarked for picture taking at the North Garden of the Hidden Conservatory Garden, which opened to the public in 1939. Remember it was November while we were there, so it was during the dormant season.

Still lovely to walk through though.

The Three Dancing Maidens at the center of the garden is the main attraction. (The water was not turned on at the time we were there. Second photo)

As we drove by the Christmas tree in Rockefeller center, we could see the lights had been added. We missed seeing the fully lit and decorated tree by :::that::: much!

Beautiful angels decorating the area in front of the tree.

More walking as we visited the Trinity Church and cemeteries.

 Wall Street District

You can see at the back end of the bull there are several people gathered. Apparently, it is quite the photo op to have your picture taken rubbing his brass balls. As with the horns, the testicles are much shinier than the rest of the bull as they are so frequently rubbed for good luck. I did not rub the brass balls, if you are wondering. Hahaha!

Mom and Dad. Aren't they cute?!

That's it for this time. Next post will be the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
