Welcome to another Thrifty Thursday where we use scraps and leftovers to create our projects! Today I'm using leftovers from the sneak peeks I created with the newest release. Love these paper scraps and they go so well with the fun Winter Cheer release. Check it out.
I love that this reindeer looks like he's flying, so I used a row of them to appear as if they may be pulling Santa's sleigh. The silver string/twine makes great reins and the added bling looks like they are wearing silver bells on their collars. Sort of. ;) That was the idea, anyway.
Here's a little closer view of the bling/bells/collar thingy.
I combined a couple of different stamps to make my sentiment, using I'm a Lucky Girl and the new Oh Deer sets. I also added a little more embellishment to the already nostalgic look of the pattern paper using the Post Card Add-on set and a splash of bling.
The tree was already cute here, but I jazzed it up a little more with some red bling ornaments and a bling star for the top!
Thanks for coming by today. Hope you enjoyed my scrappy leftovers card and maybe found some inspiration to get out your leftovers and create today as well.

Melonheadz Friends color challenge
Welcome to the new Melonheadz Friends challenge! This week we are using a Halloween and/or orange, green, purple, black theme. I combined them both into one project and love the end result. Using the adorable Miss Lucy Doris gnome image, I made her outfit more of a wizard. And the adorable little frog-friend is the perfect image to tie my idea together. :)
Once I colored and cut out Lucy and the frog, I heat embossed them with clear embossing powder, then added glossy accents to her eyeglasses. Isn't she so adorable. The background paper I created using "trick or treat" and "stars" stamps coordinating it with the sentiment.
Join us for this fun, colorful challenge and you could win the prize drawing! If you don't yet have and want to use the adorable images by Melonheadz Illustrating, check out the Etsy store here. Thanks for stopping by today. Hope to see your project in the challenge gallery!

Now for the rest of my projects. My first card features the adorable freebie, Christmas Doggy set. The house is from the previously released set, Loyal Friends; the bone and paw print are from the Live, Love, Bark stamp and die set.
The doggy and hat are this month's freebie set (if you make the first 150 shoppers) and you can see I added the holly from the new release, Boughs of Holly. The sweet little Santa hat and sentiment come with the Christmas Doggy set. I added bling to the holly and awesome puffy liquid embroidery paint to the hat to make it look fluffy.
My second card features the new Oh Deer set. Again, I used the Boughs of Holly along with it, adding bling berries and also a bling nose for my "Rudolph".
The sentiment, as well as the cool musical notes, is part of this set also. I kept this one super simple and used pattern paper that already had the collage-y-ness added. Love the look of it!

Sneak Peek, Day 4 - My Creative Time
So what do you think of the new release!? Be sure to get your shopping list ready and your plastic close at hand in the morning. This week went by so fast, tomorrow is the big reveal blop hop and sale and you surely don't want to miss it. :) Here is my card for today's sneak.
From the new set Oh Deer, I used the flying reindeer with a sentiment from the, also new, Christmas Doggy set. I layered the deer with chipboard and used my xacto to cut around the flags to give it more dimension.
This lovely flowing music bar is also included in the Oh Deer set. I love this stamp!!!! I though it was the perfect addition to this pattern paper and to give it a more coordinated look to match the vintage-y feel, I stamped it in Vintage Photo distress ink, stamped off first. I also added the sparkly gem collar to the reindeer thinking it makes him look more like he is a Christmas reindeer. :)

Here's the whole card. I've never been ice skating, but the skates are so cute I will pretend. ;)
For my background layer I used the vintage label die cutting it once from pattern paper and once in vellum which I heat embossed with these pretty snowflakes, in silver, which are also included in this set! I layered the vellum then added bling to some of the silvery snowflakes for a little extra pretty-ness. Oh yes, the "cuffs" on the skates...that is red fluffy stuff by Doodlebug. Since I don't remember the real name, it is now known in my craft room as red fluffy stuff. :)
Even the sentiment is cute! Love the fonts with this one. And the holly leaves are also new, from the Boughs of Holly set we featured yesterday. Don't forget to add BLING!

Love this simple sentiment that is part of the Boughs of Holly set. So are the fir boughs and holly dies and stamps.
I spruced (no pun intended, fir tree fans LOL) up my fir boughs with some pretty red embossing powder. I wanted it to look more like it was glittery, but wouldn't you know, of all the glitter I do have, there is NO RED. LOL So I improvised. I like the way it turned out. Especially with the holly and bling berries with the pretty gold jingle bell from a previously released set.
So there you go. Another great holiday stamp and die set you simply MUST have! Really! ;)

Totally loving these trees and the super cute matching stamps. The squigglies on each of them is a stamp--yeah! I know, right?!
I used the oval tree for my sentiment block and added green bling to spice it up a tad, stamped my sentiment in Crushed Olive distress ink and matched my button and twine to the color scheme of the card. Love it! The tree stamps and dies are so simple and so sweet.

Tag it Tuesday with My Creative Time
Hello hello! It's been awhile, I know, but for good reason....my craft room update is nearly complete and I can't wait to get things put away so I can play every day again. But I digress. For now, it's time to share my tag for Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time. Today we have a photo/color inspiration to follow for our project. Here's my take:
I used the smallest of the rectangle frames for my base tag, the layers tag dies for the tag, wicked fun dies for the spiders and webs and the sentiment, and for a splash of extra fun I used the smaller of the flourishes from the fright night set. I also used the spider stamp from that set to make my background spiders using versamark ink.
The pattern paper is my My Mind's Eye and I colored the potion bottles with copics. Added some sequins and twine and hot glued a witch button on the bow.
Here's the inspiration photo if you want to play along!

Die of the Month with My Creative Time
Back by popular demand, Stamp/Die of the Month! Today's favorite is the potty people dies, AND a photo inspiration as well {see pic below}. I used the colors of the photo as my inspiration. The colors are perfect for Halloween so I went with that theme for my card. My apologies for the blurry photo.
If you have been waiting to get this set click here and grab this one on sale, now through midnight Pacific Time, October 31.
Along with the potty people die, I used the newest release dies, spider web, spider, and "spooky" word die.
The sentiment pieces are also from the Wicked Fun Dies set. I added glossy accents to the spider, a shadow behind the spooky word die {just cut a second word in black and offset them} and for a little extra fun, ONE googly eyeball to the potty man. LOL
