Welcome to Made in Minutes Monday. I love this segment and have so much fun with it. Today's card is much quicker and easier than it may look. I used the watercolor stamps for the sand and water, and for the rays of the sun I used the waves from the Lost at Sea set.  To make the sun I used a mask.

Super cute flip flops die is included in the Sit Back and Relax die and stamp set; and the beach ball is part of the Surf's Up collection. Sentiment is also from the Surf's Up set.

Good morning! Today's featured stamp sets are Loyal Friends and Live, Love, Bark. Super cute for any furbaby cards or scrapbook pages.

Included in the Loyal Friends set are all of these dies and then some, PLUS four sentiments! The grass is a separate purchase, but everything else comes in this set. I added a tiny jump ring to Fido's collar to make it more realistic, and glossy accents to his eyes and nose. 

I LOVE this cute dog bone and layered it with chipboard to make my "sign". I added jump rings just for fun.

Today's featured stamps and dies are called Bee Happy, Stitched Bees and Beehive Dies, and Stitched Honeycomb Dies. I love these! I wanted my beehive to be hanging from a tree so I hand cut this branch and leaves from a couple of scraps. 

These are so cute. I cut the hive from chipboard and adhesive backed cardstock, then I inked one side for shadow and the "door" with darker ink.

 

The message is one of several sweet sentiments in this set. I stamped it on the candy flag die from the Chocolate Greetings set. Behind you can see a portion of the honeycomb die. Love that!

I don't know about you, but I'm sure having fun with these sneaks. Today's featured sets are Sit Back and Relax, and Surf's Up. I've combined these with the Make a Splash waves border from last month's release, and the fun ticket die for my sentiment block. 

Twine and foam tape hold the "sign" with my message.

I used the waves border three times to make sort of an hombre affect using these blue polka dots, light blue, and navy blue. The shell dies -- aren't they adorbs?? -- are included in the Surf's Up set.....

...as is the surf board, and the flip flops come with the Sit Back and Relax set. I just love this fun summer release!!! If I could live on the beach I surely would in a heartbeat. :)

For Kids Challenge, Melonheadz Friends

Welcome to the new challenge with Melonheadz Friends! We would love for you to join us for this fun kids' challenge!! The store has so many adorable sets that are perfectly kid friendly, so you have no excuses not to play! :) 

For my project today I used the Tooth Fairy set for this adorable photo of Olivia's first missing tooth! She was so excited. You can see it in her eyes! 

I did a little tweaking to the image of the sweet little girl in her pj's so she would be more "Olivia", changing which tooth is missing and the color of her hair for starters. Of course, I had to include the clouds and the tooth fairy as well (seen in the pic above).

The adorable pillow with the tooth under it is a must have for this layout. And aren't these paper patterns and colors delicious?? So perfect for the holey-smiled Miss Olivia at 6 years old. :)

Finally! It's time!!! We've been having a blast working with this new release and I'm so excited to share with you my first project. Oh wait. I guess this is actually my second project as we shared the flip flip set on Friday. Nonetheless, here is my card for today! The finished card is approximately 3 x 5. 

I love the jumbo sized words in this set as well as the super awesome grungy border stamp!!! This set is called You Are Fabulous....and it really is! I used the border stamp here at the bottom of my card in four colors. For a softer look, I stamped off each color before stamping onto my card. Then, for extra fun, I added this stripey heart . This stamp is from a new set called Happy Thoughts, and coordinates with the Layering Heart Dies. Super cute!

The front panel is attached to the card base with foam tape, and the cute little glass dew drops add texture.

Designer Challenge - Patriotic theme!

Welcome to our newest challenge with My Creative Time. For this Patriotic themed challenge we are using a sketch AND a color palette {both pictured at the end of this post}!!

Instead of circles, I decided to use three different sized stars for the cluster grouping on my card.

For my sentiment, I used the candy flag die and for a little more oomph, used a portion of a red circle that was in my scraps. I know it's not an element in the provided sketch, but it seemed to be the perfect finishing touch. Hope you like!

Tag it Tuesday

You're it! Welcome to Tag it Tuesday, My Creative Time. Our designers have made some gorgeous tags for you to feast your eyes on today. Here is my submission. 

I used the MCT 3x4 journaling die for my tag base, and Carta Bella 6x6 Ahoy There paper pad. In addition, I used scraps of burlap and cork paper as embellishment, and jute twine for the "rope". 

The anchor and heart are from the Anchors and Heart die set, and the circle from the Bunch of Fun circle dies set. Sentiment is from the Hey Sailor stamp set. 

My super cute little anchor charm is made from shrink film using the smaller of the two anchors in the die set.

Scrapping the Little Things

I hope you had a great Father's Day weekend and enjoyed time with the dads and guys in your life. Today's layout is for my husband's hunting/fishing album. He isn't really doing either in this photo, but he IS scoping out the fishing situation at one of his favorite fishing holes. It's so hard to tell from this perspective, but we are high up above the water and can see directly into the lake. Unfortunately, though, on this day, there were no fishies swimming around that we could see so there was no actual fishing accomplished.

Still, I love the photo as it gives you an idea of what it's like where we live. The rocky cliffs on the other side of the lake are a  typical site on this side of the Cascades.Very different from the Puget Sound where I grew up. Thanks for coming by today.
