Thrifty Thursday

Hello on this fabulous Friday-eve, or as most people call it, Thursday. :) On Thrifty Thursday, the MCT team uses scraps, leftovers, and/or recyclables to create our projects. My card today is made from pieces I had left on my worktop after other projects were finished. After I tossed the trash, put away the tools and filed away the stamps and dies, I had these homeless pieces that I didn't want to throw out. I think they look great layered together on this card!

The back ground was a piece of cardstock I had stenciled onto then decided to use something else. The heart was a white sample piece I cut for size purposes. I stamped the chicken wire background onto it and added some ink to dirty it up a tad. The other pieces were just bits that didn't get used and just happened to coordinate, colorwise, with the other pieces. I added a little washi tape, some twine and a button, and voila! I like the end result! And my worktop is now clutter free and ready for the next project. Woot!

  7. What a fun way to use up up your scraps. And the bonus is, you got your work space cleared off. It's amazing how one little card can completely fill an entire workspace. I love how you put together your scraps and make it look like all of those pieces were preselected to go together.
