Today I am sharing this shaker Valentine I made using the super cute "I love you" heart for the new challenge on the Melonheadz Friends blog. You can find this image here, in the Valentine's Day 2013 set. I cut the image twice, just under 4x4 inches in size, so that it would fit on my 4x4 card base. I then cut a heart shape out of the center of one and covered the hole with a plastic/acrylic piece from a stamp set that would typically go in the trash {I save those for shaker windows and other cool see-thru items}, and used the uncut image for the back of the shaker.
I filled the shaker with red and white seed beads and added some "lacey dots" to the drawn eyelet edge for a fun, then added red ribbon and a pretty heart-shaped jewel to the bow. ♥
I didn't stop there, though. When I printed out the images I thought I might use, I wasn't exactly sure how I would use them, and when this one didn't fit with the idea in my head, I used it instead to make a bookmark, Isn't he cute!!!
I couldn't help myself - I made another project for this challenge! Banners are so cool and you can do so much with them, I decided to make one using the Melonheadz banner. I love it!!! Each of the pennants is about 2x3 inches, and the full length of the banner is 2 feet.

Won't you join us for this fun challenge. You'll find the link up on the Melonheadz Friends blog. Hope to see you there! ♥
