Chalkboard Countdown

Thanks for coming by the Studio Blog today. I'm still crafting and baking away, in between decorating the house and putting up the tree. I love all the prep that goes with the holidays. Of course, by the time the big day arrives I'm usually beat! LOL :)

Today's project is super simply and inexpensive too. Platter and pine sprig from Dollar Tree, some spray paint and a bottle of chalk paint. Oh, and a hot glue gun. Pinterest inspired, the longest it took to make this was waiting overnight for the paint to cure. Other than the paint wait, the rest took maybe 30 minutes, if that, to finish. Disclaimer: As of this posting, there are 17 more sleeps till you-know-when!

The tag is not a necessity, but if you're giving it as a gift, it's nice to have a place to write "to/from" and the back of this ticket die by My Creative Time is perfect.

  3. Easy-peasy project and cute "vignette"!
(Last week I used 2 of the gold platters from the DT and sandwiched a river rock-filled vase between them. I needed a quick tiered cake stand for an event. Although, my hubby thanked me for the "fancy dumbell"...well, I liked it anyway.)
