Welcome to Scrappy Monday! Today's challenge is to use the sketch below for your layout AND incorporate texture in the form of twine, jute, burlap, etc. Are you game!? You have until June 24 to upload your page to the My Creative Time blog. Come and play with us!
Here's my take on the sketch.
For my layout subject, I decided on these pics of my grandson, Jeffery, who graduated high school on Friday. When he first started playing sports he always chose number 7 on all of his teams. Because he was 7 years old, of course! :)
Here he is hustling down the soccer field!
This soccer ball is larger than the "O" in the 'soccer' word and the perfect embellishment. Again I popped it with foam tape for dimension. These grassy stars I cut from the parts of photos that I cropped off from the smaller ones.

ReplyDeleteWow, this is AWESOME! I love the accents and embellishments on this one. The 7 with the star and the stars and soccer ball. Everything, is just perfect. I also enjoyed seeing the graduation pictures of your grandson. Wow, time passes way too quickly! Hugs- Glora
ReplyDeleteAh, the mind of a child! These are great action shots. Due to my camera quality, all the action shots of my children, appear as they they move at light speed, (which they sometimes do)...A big blur, with streaks of color, and indistinguishable features. I love the way you turned all that extra grass into stars!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Layout,Shar! I love the dark blue, the title on the flag and the stars!! Awesome!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an all-star layout Shar! Love the pics of your grandson - he's all grown up now! Love the colors you used and the stars are perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on your layout and following the sketch. #7 makes me think of my daughter...she liked #3 because she is born on March 3rd.
