Good morning and welcome to another Monday, Scrapping The Little Things, with the My Creative Time Design Team. Today's theme is Back to School. I can't believe summer is almost over already, but in all honesty I'm totally looking forward to cooler temps.

My page today is Miss Grace working on an electricity experiment she did for home school in fifth grade. I think it's pretty cool! :)

Again, Miss Grace is joining us! She is a recent follower of Dr. Who and has become utterly obsessed....you may recall her project last week was a mini tardis from a matchbox. She used watercolors to make her "time and space" background paper and did all of her journaling by hand.

Designer Challenge: Black & White

Today begins the new Designer Challenge at My Creative Time. Our designer, Cassandra, is hosting this one and she has given us a great one....use only black and white on your project! NO COLOR! Wow...this was harder than I thought it would be, but I LOVE it! I hope you will join us for this fun challenge and link up on the MCT Blog for a chance to win the drawing. 

The pictures look almost like I printed them in black and white, but honestly I did not, these really are just fabby papers all in b/w patterns. These are from the My Mind's Eye, Meadowlark 6x6 paper pad.

My sentiment is from the Happy Mail stamp set, and the banner is from the Vintage Label and banner die set.

Love the heart die, also by MCT, as are the flowers.

The largest flower is made using the Rolled Flowers die, the smaller flower is made using the scalloped circle. Tags are Chocolate Greetings, and Chunky Jar Accessories dies.

Tag it Tuesday....and a special guest!

Happy Tuesday, and welcome to Tag it Tuesday. We hope you'll enjoy this feature and will be inspired to create you own tags.

For our tags today, we are using a HOLIDAY THEME. My first tags are Christmas themed. I used the large tag die with the scalloped edge for my tag.....

and this layered tag from the Chunky Jar Accessories set for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the From Our Family to Yours, the holly leaves are a Quickutz die.

The newest tag and the Just Tags for these smaller versions. The sentiment is from All Around Christmas, star buttons from the Stitched Buttons die set.

My next tags are actually a set that will be used on a Halloween scrapbook layout. I used three of Emma's tag dies to create three different tombstone shapes, and the cartoon cloud dies for mounds of dirt. Aren't they fun! The bats are a Quickutz die, and the ghosts are images I printed onto vellum a LONG time ago and don't remember where they came from - sorry. Thanks for coming by today. I've been rather busy the past week or so as I have a crafty buddy staying with me. That's right, Miss Grace is here for her summer visit and we're having a blast making one project after another. Here is her mini Tardis, made using the Quickutz matchbox die. Super cute!

Inspire Me Tuesday

Happy Tuesday and welcome to Inspire Me Tuesday with the My Creative Time Design Team. My inspiration today comes from a fun youtube video by Ken and Terry from Spellbinders for their Try It Tuesday. I was inspired to try using a watercolor technique and really had fun with it, as you may have seen on two previous projects of mine.

Today's card was super simple. I only used three colors, plus black for my stamping. For the water color background I used Tim Holtz Distress Stains, Forest Moss and Peeled Paint; and for the dragonflies, Chipped Sapphire.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us for this fun feature. Inspiration can come from anything, anywhere, at any time. Just be open to it and you'll always have ideas for creating something new! ♥

Designer Challenge - Summer Theme!

Welcome to the new designer challenge with My Creative Time. Today's challenge is by team member, Amy. I had so much fun with this one, I hope you will play along and link up with us for this super fun Summer Theme challenge...any project you want to make, as long as it is summer themed! I made this beach theme shaker magnet. Isn't it fun?! The base is the large polaroid frame die, turned upside down.

My flower was supposed to be something like a hibiscus. Gotta work on that. But I do like the flower even though it's not as hibiscus-ish as I was going for. LOL Tropical leaves and flip flops are dies by QK. The flip flops are made from that same watercolor paper I made for Tag it Tuesday.

I even made the little crab and seashells...with shrink film! and the background is sandpaper! :) This is one of my fave projects ever!
