Hello Sunshine

First scrapbook layout in a few years. I know!! Damn cell phone cameras, anyway -- I have to snag pics of the kids from their Instagram accounts or keep reminding them to send me some! Haha. Anyway, I LOVE this pic of Grace and decided to use it for my return to scrapbooking.

Oh, and for those of you who've followed my blog and scrapbooking projects for so many years, Grace will be 16 in a couple of weeks. I know, right?! Yes......driving!!

For her name I used Echo Park Designer Stamps, lower case alphabet. The hibiscus is by Paper Smooches from the Summer Lovin' set.

Hearts are by My Favorite Things, I'm Owl Yours; sentiment strips are Small Talk by Tim Holtz; and tags from the Blueprints #1 die namics set by My Favorite Things. Sentiments also by My Favorite Things, from So Much Love stamps.

Title by Paper Smooches, Summer Lovin; arrow from I'm Owl Yours, by My Favorite Things. Pattern papers by Recollections.

Love this color combo, don't you?! I only wish they were showing "truer" in my photos. Sigh. However, you get the idea. I love how this card turned out. :)

Baking up a birthday card

Generally I'm not happy with my attempts at random background stamping, but this time I am pleased. Of course, the adorable images help too. However, my husband pointed out that there is no sugar so my birthday cake won't be so good. Sigh. LOL!

I combined a few different sets for this one. (Links below.)

Product List:
Lawn Fawn, Baked With Love (flour, butter, milk, eggs, rolling pin; background spoon and sentiment)
My Favorite Things, Recipe for Happiness (whisk and mixing spoon)
My Favorite Things, Sweet Succulents (the bowl is actually a cactus pot)
My Favorite Things, Blueprints #1 (scallop mat)
Bo Bunny, Kiss the Cook, 6x6 paper pad (red checked paper)
Copic markers, foam tape

And the cute crab! I used sand paper for the sandy beach. Sand paper is a staple in my craft supplies.
