Scrapping The Little Things

It's that time again....no, I don't mean Monday, even though it is. I mean it's time for scrapbook, smash book, and project life pages with My Creative Time. Hopefully that will take away some of the sting of Monday. ;) Scrapbooking is my first love! ♥

Today I'm super excited to share this page with you! Not only do I have tons of MCT products featured, but also the newest Peachy Keen release, suggested by YOURS TRULY who WON the ENTIRE STAMP SET! Go me!!!! I just love everything Kathy designed. This photo of my silly Grace was taken days before I won the contest, and I couldn't be happier to have it to scrap with this Peachy release!!!

Cute embellishment using MCT scalloped and stitched circle set and layering heart tied with twine. MCT fun tickets with the whisk stamp by PKS. The chipboard title, Home Cooking, is part of a huge collection I've had in my stash for years. I love that it goes perfectly with this theme and these papers by Stampin Up -- also in my stash for years. {I know, right??? Use that stuff up already! LOL}

Tags by MCT with sentiments by PKS. Here you have a better shot of Gracie's "chef hat". So silly. She grabbed this before I could toss it in the trash, the packaging around the new baking pan I had purchased. LOL

MCT tags and arrows, Just Simply Live alphabet stamps, All Around Goodies set, and PKS.

Another of the chipboard pieces (the border and scalloped oval) using sentiments by PKS. Arrow by MCT.

Flatware border, sweet potholders and face by PKS; speech bubble, sentiments and cookie are from MCT All Around Goodies stamp set.

Thoughtful Thursday

Hey guess what.......today is FRIDAY-EVE!!! We have almost made it to the weekend, my friends. Good work!

A simple 'thoughtful' card today made all from scraps. I rarely cut a full sheet of paper when making cards - except, of course, for the base. But in this case, even the base was something from the scrap bin. Go me! Pattern paper is by October Afternoon from the Schoolhouse 8x8 paper pad. Background hexagon stamp, and hexy dies by My Creative Time.

Small round speech bubble, flags, and sentiment also by My Creative Time. Adorable sad face by Peachy Keen from the Happy New Year Assortment.

That's it! Add a couple of buttons and some ribbon and you're done. Hope you'll be inspired to use up some of your scraps on your next project.

Product List:
My Creative Time, Hexagon background
My Creative Time, Hexagon dies
My Creative Time, Chocolate Greetings, flag die
My Creative Time, More Chocolate Greetings, sentiment
My Creative Time, Vintage label and banner die

MCT Favorite Stamps of the Month

Welcome to the studio and to another edition of Fave of the Month. This month's favorites are So Grateful For You and Home Sewn.

For my first project I made this quick and easy card using So Grateful For You. I also used the hearts from Happy Mail and Game Night, the small cloud speech bubble, and the potty people guy-die. Super simple.

I've used the adorable Home Sewn set to go with my pics of Gracie's sewing class in home school. Here she is learning to thread the sewing machine. :)

These camera shots are more true to the colors than the above scanned page. Not sure why it does that; I guess maybe because of the blast of light in there. Anyhoo.....  Embellishments using MCT stamps and dies. Index tab die with the needle (threaded for realsies!) and title sentiment from Home Sewn, layered hearts dies turned buttons with twine added, the stitched heart stamp also from Home Sewn, and the spool of thread with real thread again. :) I love those details.

This stick pin was a putrid color of magenta. I had no idea what I would ever do with it but tossed it in the drawer about a year ago waiting for inspiration to strike. Finally this page was what I needed! I dipped the ugly pin in versamark ink then in white embossing powder and voila...it's actually pretty now. LOL Added a silver bead, cute little flag and there you have it. :) Sentiment from Home Sewn and scissors from the Chunky Jar Accessories stamps. Love!

Thank you for coming by today. Remember you get free shipping for the Favorite Stamps of the Month, so if these are not part of your stash, now's the time to add them. Happy shopping!

Inspire Me Tuesday

Inspiration....it comes from EVERYWHERE. As a crafter, I've been asked many times, "where do you get your inspiration?" The answer is very simple, really. I'm inspired by everything around me in one way or another. It's kind of like the saying, "use it or lose it". The more you use your creative thinking, the more you'll be inspired. Take a look at your junk mail one day...sometimes the way the ads are placed on the page, or the colors on a magazine cover might spark an idea for a card layout. Sometimes a commercial on tv will lead to a scrapbook page. Today's layout for example, was inspired by scrolling through pinterest (happens all the time LOL), and the title inspired by THIS--one of my favorite games.  I LOVE word games! The other night I scored one of my all time high scoring words....zooms for 144 points. {Sorry Gia! ;)}

Using My Creative Time dies and stamps, I borrowed the game design for my title. Love it! This huge fish, 31 inch King salmon, was caught by my son, and netted by his daughter, Courtney, pictured here with a grin almost as big as this fish. LOL Of course, Logan had to help hold the fish for the photo op. These kids love fishing as much as their dad and grampa do.

The die cut letters are the Snowday mini font by Quickutz.

Die cuts are so much fun to use for embellishments. I've used MCT hexies, hearts, speech bubble, file folder and more. Love the versatility offered by Emma's fabulous products.

Ok crafty peeps. Go out there and be inspired! :) Thanks for joining us to see what inspiration brought to the design team this week.
