Hoppy Easter!

Before I get to my project I want to thank Joy for being so sweet and allowing me to share on her blog, Obsessed with Scrapbooking, this week!!!! I'm beyond excited and appreciate so much the opportunity to share with all of you other Joy-fans!! ;) I hope you'll enjoy what I have for you this week and thank you again, Miss Joy for letting me invade your bloggy space. ♥

Ok so....Easter-- it's coming up sooner than you think.....next weekend, in fact! Are you ready? This little basket will go to some of my grands. I love sending them the goodies I make and they love receiving them, so it's always a win-win! ;) For this project I used the ever adorable and often forgotten older cartridge, Doodlecharms. The simple images are so sweet and just what I needed to add charm to this little berry basket.

The bunny and bushel basket, as well as the paws (hearts) are all from the Doodlecharms cart. The face is, of course, by Peachy Keen Stamps as is the sentiment. I did add the whiskers (invisible thread) and cute little tooth. The carrot is handcut and the tops are a spellbinders foliage die.

The actual Easter basket is a die by Quickutz, called berry basket.

The handle, isn't it sweet!?, is a border die also by Quickutz.

In case you're wondering what the greenery is inside, they are dyed coffee filter carrots filled with speckled robin eggs and tied with twine. Cute huh??? Pinterest inspired. Gotta love Pinterest!

Hey peeps, hopping by...

Super cute little project we made during the new release ustream for Pink By Design the other night. Embellies and tag added later.

I used a circle punch to make a little notch in the front just for something different.

added a double bow and a butterfly to the handle cuz it looked super plain without it. I likey.

These are the cherry blossoms die by My Favorite Things. Leaves are Quickutz nesting leaves.

The tag. Which I remembered after I had taken all the other pics. LOL The ticket and peep are Quickutz dies, flowers are My Favorite Things, and sentiment is from the PBD Animated Greetings 2 set.

Pretty poppies

Happy mail from My Favorite Things .... I LOVE the new poppy stamps set!!! Aren't these gorgeous?? My card is a shameless scraplift from Barbara Anders of the My Favorite Things Design Team. Her card was so striking I had to copy it and as soon as I got my new goodies in the mail, I went straight to work. :)

The poppies, leaves and stems are all part of this set. And so are the sentiments! The background script is a poppy poem sentiment {it's not a background stamp--to be clear, I just stamped it multiple times} as is the happiest of days sentiment.

I stamped the poppies on white and cut them out. The centers I colored with copic markers.
Product List:
My Favorite Things, Pretty Poppies stamp set
TH Distress Inks: festive berries, peeled paint, antique linen
Copics: E49 dark bark, E37 sepia, E31 brick beige, colorless blender

Thrifty Thursday

Welcome to Thrifty Thursday with My Creative Time. Today's assignment is to create a project using scraps, or something recycled, and GREEN.

With St. Paddy's day coming up this weekend, how could I not use shamrock and green beer for this one, right!?? Please forgive the strange lighting on my card....that base is WHITE not pink. It must have been reflecting off my shirt when I took the pic. Regardless, I used a white card base, a piece of scrap pattern paper from about a hundred years ago, and spruced it up a tad with clear embossing shamrocks and Guinness bubbles!

Shamrock, banner and circle are all dies by My Creative Time. Mug of beer is by Peachy Keen. I added liquid embroidery for the foamy mug and bubbles. Sentiment from My Creative Time, I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set.

Thanks for coming by! Be sure to check out the other designer blogs for more thrifty ideas.

My Creative Time, I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set
