Welcome to Thursday in the studio. My first project today is a card for
My Creative Time, using the fabulous stamp set,
This and That. This is a must have set with greetings from 'hello' to 'sorry' to 'thank you' and more.
For my embellishment, I made a flower from tissue paper; a sewing pattern I picked up at the thrift store. I took a folded piece of the pattern and cut through all the layers with the Tattered Florals die by Tim Holtz/Sizzix. Punch a hole through the center of all the layers with a paper piercer and hold them together with a mini brad. Then I scrunched each layer up toward the center and fluffed. Remember how we used to do that with toilet paper carnations in grade school?? Same idea! Then I sprayed the flower with glimmer mist and added some leaves. Viola! Gorgeous handmade accent piece. :)
