Tag tabs ... so cute!

Don't throw away that tag that went wrong. Just cut off the top and make a super cute cluster tab from it. They'll be great as dividers or just a page tab, or even on their own as a page embellishment.

Been busy

Sorry for being so long between posts. It's not that I haven't been busy, I've just been so busy making that I haven't taken the time for posting. But the next couple of posts will catch you up on my shenanigans in the craft room! Lots of fun has been happening in here. Hope you like the results.

I love these vintage shipping tags. I think they turned out super cute.
The rest of my jump rings arrived so I made two more sizes. These are so much fun to make and even more fun to add to projects.
And from the scraps after cutting the tags, I had to make these cute add-on mini tags. These are always fun to add with a loop pin to a larger tag.

Cluster tabs

Made some cluster tabs when I was lacking creative mojo. It helps to keep busy so I don't lose crafty motivation. Plus, my stash was getting low so I needed to replenish anyway.

I kinda like these circle tabs. Might have to make more of them. These measure 1 1/2 in, 1 in, and 1/2 inch.

A few faux slides

Just a few of the things I've made over the past few days. Woke up feeling pretty cruddy the other day, and as much as I wanted to 'make', I wasn't able to concentrate on anything for very long, so I made a bunch of small things. The slides came out pretty good.

faux resin charms

Check out these fun vintage charms. No resin required for this technique. Using jump rings and aluminum tape, I created these charms by stamping my design and applying glossy accents. For the ones with the tape, I cut rings using circle dies then added alcohol ink to change the color from shiny silver. I super love the tiny ones, I think they came out so cute! Coins shown for size comparison.

I used my teensy eyelet punch on some of them to add pins for hanging/dangling.

More projects from ABC April

For W, Toni showed us how to make waxed papers. So easy to do! I don't know why I never thought of doing it before. They're so cool. I have a nice little stash for upcoming projects. Is this something you've ever done? I'm learning so much about mixed media and super fun techniques. My craft room may never be tidy again with all the different materials and tools I have out right now. After mass make March and ABC April I may never see my worktop again. Hahahaha!!! Anyhoo.....

Some are book pages, some are stamped on copy paper, some stamped on vintage music paper. It's such a cool outcome, the papers, depending how thin they are to start with, are sometimes nearly transparent.

Party Animals with Heidi Swapp

By now, you probably know I'm a huge Heidi Swapp fan. For her birthday in April, Heidi released a super cute (free with purchase) 'birthday queen' stamp set that I had to have. I used it here for Mila's birthday card. I'm still in shock that she is 21 this month!  - which means another of the grand girls turns 21 a couple of weeks later! Stop!!!!

Vintage tape measure tags

How cute are these!?? Inspired by Saje, at Vibe of Vintage and Lady Blackblood Printables, I found a digital file and made these super fun tags today. Love them!!

For references, the longest is 5 3/4 inches and the shortest 1 3/4 inches long.
