Good morning! It's Day 11 of the January 2025 #junkjournal challenge. 

Day 11: MAGAZINE

I had a plan; got an old issue of Better Homes and Gardens and chose this photo as my inspiration. I loved the greens and all the fun elements in it, and it seemed like a fairly easy design to replicate. 

Not a bad start. I hand cut my main piece, inked it, and added the reflection lines. I scoured through my stuff and found no large leaves that would fit with the design and no other elements that grabbed my attention either. Nothing was working. Sigh.

The layout design still resonated though, so I started from scratch. 

Everything but the typewriter key letters are by Tim Holtz. The sticker letters I've had in my stash for ages and ages. 

I love the end result. It may not look like the magazine layout design, but the magazine ad was still the inspiration for the finished page, so I think it works. Thanks for looking!
