#junkjournaljanuary2025, Days 30 & 31

My idea for this page incorporated both prompts from day 30 and day 31, so I combined them into one page. It was not intentionally meant to be a Valentine page at the start, but it evolved so I went with it, hook, line and sinker. Why not? It's not that far away from February 14.

Day 30: FABRIC
Day 31: LETTER

The large hearts (one is mostly covered by the pocket) are muslin with dyed cheesecloth behind.

Mini paper bag pocket with cluster tab .

Cute little goodies inside; gilded hearts, ticket, post card, tiny letter, and key. For the gold accents on the hearts, pocket and key, I used Distress Foundry Wax, gilded.

The tiny letter has an 'I love you' heart inside.
And there is another letter (just a digital print) tucked underneath the mini paper bag pocket.

That's the end of the January Junk Journal. I hope you've enjoyed going through it with me. It's been a blast making it and now I'm ready for the next project. Unless something else happens first, the next will probably be Heidi Swapp's Valentine Class. Watch for that coming soon!

#junkjournaljanuary2025, Day 29

 Day 29: REVEAL

I created this double-door openable with a pocket inside to #reveal sweet photos.

Is it just me, or does the little one on the left have Bette Davis eyes? I have no idea who the girls are or when the pics were taken but I think they are adorable.
Lots of digital printables, Tim Holtz, inking, and sanding. Check out Vibe of Vintage and Tracie Fox Creative on Etsy for some awesome digital backgrounds and printable ephemera.

#junkjournaljanuary2025, Day 28

Day 28: SEALED

First thing I did for this page was the wax seal on the page tab. I don't have a butterfly wax stamp, but the bee seemed like a good fit with the butterflies on the background paper. Background paper is a digital file by Vibe of Vintage, on Etsy.

Then while I was taking pics, I realized there is another seal on my page, upper left corner, that I had missed. What a coincidence! You'd think I did that on purpose if I hadn't told you I didn't, I bet. LOL
And it just keeps getting better. I swear, you guys, I did not even realize until I was done with the page. Another seal on the washi I used on the tag, and another behind the tags. Crazy!
Gold sealing wax by Honey Bee Stamps. I super love this page. Most of it is just the gorgeous images on the digital paper that I fell in love with. I hardly had to do anything else. :)
Also used on this page are Heidi Swapp stamps, tab die, and ribbon; Tim Holtz stamps, washi tape and paper scraps; My Favorite Things crosshatch die; and 49 and Market Vintage Bits Essential Tickets in Rouge.

Hidden paper clips

These are so cool. Never heard of them until now and decided I should make some. They are hidden paper clips; as you can see, or not see I guess, you don't see the paper clip. Haha. These would make cool bookmarks too, I thought as I was just typing this. These are 3 inches and 2 1/2 inches tall.

This is the back side.
Here is one clipped onto a mini envelope to show how it works. Front:

Today's prompt

Day 27: CRUMPLED

This was an easy one as I usually crumple most of my papers before sanding and inking. I think you can see in some of these pieces that they've been crumpled. Lovely background paper by Stamperia. Also I added one of the cluster tabs I made the other day. I love those things.

This cool little flip element is made from a die by Heidi Swapp.
These are extra handy for planners, but also if you want to add extra space in your journal for small photos and more journaling.
More bits of digital papers, and Tim Holtz ephemera.

#junkjournaljanuary2025, Day 26

Day 26: MOVEMENT

I've added a few things to the page which can signify movement. The butterfly for example. But my favorite is this old photo.

It appears the photog attempted to create an action shot. How fast do you think this guy is actually moving? LOL

And my pocket too, which is actually.....
...a hidden treasure chest! Isn't this cute? It's a tiny paper bag I made. I love how it opens up and tucks under the little tag to stay closed.

Cluster tabs

I love making clusters, and these cluster tabs are extra fun to have handy for adding to projects. I think I have just one left from the batch I made in October with the Halloween ones, so it was necessary to make some more. Last night time got away from me and I ended up crafting until 1 a.m.! I don't mind at all.

Scraps, ephemera, diy ephemera, digital papers and ephemera, washi tape, stamping, string, eyelets and more. Just so much fun.

So. Much. Fun.

Day 25: MODERN

Can you imagine going to Sears for one of these? "I'd like to order a home for delivery, please. And please add a hammer and saw to that order." I love looking at these old homes that came in a kit that you built yourself. I want one.

I've had this floor plan sticker in my stash for many many years. The key and the wooden tape measure too. This was the perfect page to use them.
