#junkjournaljanuary2025, Day 6

I chose to dry emboss AND heat emboss for today's prompt. Cool.

Day 6: EMBOSSED

I made this little postcard a flip just for fun.

Also, see the scar on my finger? That is just one of three scars in nearly the same place - the ones not as noticeable are from craft knife accidents, and this big one is from a new blade on the rotary cutter that even took off some of my nail. Should've been stitched I suppose but I didn't want to mess with it, so I taped it really tightly for a few days and it worked to keep my finger intact. Ouch though. And blood....lots and lots of blood. Ugh.

#junkjournaljanuary2025, Day 5

This paper by Tim Holtz....isn't it gorgeous?! I had to use it for today's prompt and hated to cover it up. So I didn't! I love it.

Day 5: DEPTH
Yes, that is a metal screw at the bottom of the page. Actually, a metal screw eyelet. Isn't it great with this rusty, corrugated metal paper.

#junkjournaljanuary2025

Apparently, this is an annual thing. I just learned of it and decided to join when I ran across it on Instagram. I love making journals, books, minis, etc. so even if I don't actually write in it (and I probably won't. LOL) it will be a fun project to complete. Here's what I have so far.

Day 1: COVER
I started with a this 5x7 mini album that has been in my craft closet for YEEEEARS!!! Life's Journey Correspondence Album by K&Company. I used lots and lots of scraps and stamps and washi tape to redo the entire front cover.

Day 2: ENVELOPE
For day 2 I used a Heidi Swapp mini envelope die. Pretty plain and boring.
My creative juices weren't flowing I guess. I like the page, so far, but it really needs some help. I may add to it later.

Day 3: TICKETS
I love tickets! I could've gone all out but for some reason I did not. Leftover slump from the day before I suppose. I do love how my tickets turned out though. These are homemade from stamps and a circle punch.

Pocket for the tags and flap for private journaling. The page tab is one of several I made a few months ago just to have in my stash for things like this.

Day 4: OUTLINE
This prompt stumped me. I wasn't sure how to approach it. I thought about outlining the entire page, then maybe each of the individual papers in the patchwork, and I just wasn't sure. I ended up outlining just the arrow and the ticket at the bottom. It's ok I guess. What comes to your mind for this prompt?

If you would like to join, check out youtube, or instagram for the hashtag, #junkjournaljanuary2025 or go here for Meg Journals and follow the prompts. (I have no affiliation, I just decided to make one along with everyone else when I saw the posts on Instagram.)
