So busy in the studio

It's been a few days since I posted, but it's not for lack of projects to share. I've been so busy and so in love with the Heidi Swapp stamps after joining the 30 day stamp journal challenge that I haven't quite calmed down yet. I'm still in 'tag mode' which has now moved into Halloween creations, as you can tell by my last couple of posts.

This one is another jumbo tag using the newest alphabet set along with the Stamp Therapy 4, Road Sign set. I won't be getting tired of that one for a long time, so I hope you don't become bored with my projects. I'll try to switch it up more. :)

In addition to the HS Alphabet and Road Sign stamps, I also added a few goodies from a fun Halloween set I've had in my stash for years from Jaded Blossom called Halloween Paint Splatters. The spider webs and chain are from that set. Also, notice I colored the skull eyes in red and added glossy accents. I think it gives it a cool, sort of 'lighted' look. The dirt mounds around the gravestone are actually clouds from another HS set. I love finding ways to use stamps for things they were not intended for.
Ink colors on this one are simple. I started with a blending brush and black soot to cover the entire tag before stamping a crackle-look over it all. Making the gravesite was fun. I used part of a sign and part of a marquee for the headstone, added the raven and spider web, then used clouds in frayed burlap to simulate the mounds of dirt. The chain hanging off the signpost is just a fun extra, don't you think?
