Summer School, Ombre

I always feel the ombre technique is prettier when someone else does it. Hmm. Maybe that means I should do it more often until I'm more comfortable with my finished results. LOL! Anyway, here is my card for MFT Summer School using this technique.

The SMILE word is a die by My Favorite Things, and the flowers, also MFT, are from the Mini Modern Blooms stamp set.

I also "eclipsed" the letters in smile to lift them off the card front using another technique I only recently learned. What do you think?

Product List:
My Favorite Things, Smile die
My Favorite Things, Mini Modern Blooms stamps (I believe this set is retired)
My Favorite Things, Smooth White cardstock
My Favorite Things, Spearmint hybrid ink pad (for flowers)
Distress Inks, peeled paint, iced spruce, cracked pistachio
Foam tape, scrap piece of black cardstock
