Happy NSD crafty peeps! It's been way too long since I've been on the blog, but I am finally back. We had an awesome time spending the winter months in San Diego and - fingers crossed! - I hope we'll do it again next winter. We got home the first week of March and have been busy making lots of plans for some remodeling and upgrading here at home this spring and summer, thus my lack of paper crafting. It's been mostly planning, measuring, shopping and waiting as of now. Some of our materials are trickling in though, so it won't be much longer and I'll have a whole new bathroom. Yay!!! But I digress...this is about National Scrapbooking Day, so let's get back on track.
After being away from my favorite room in the house, as well as my all crafty toys and goodies, I finally got back to my room today and made a mother's day card. Truth be told, I was so bad at finding/making time to craft since we got home that I missed all our March birthdays (there are a lot of them, including both my parents, my daughter, and sister in law - eek) so I really would have had the guilts had I not made a card for mom's day. Which is what I am sharing today.
This gorgeous stamp is from the "Mom" set by My Creative Time. I just love the flower cluster. Isn't it so pretty in gold embossing. The mat looks almost black but it is more like a deep navy blue. The gold looks awesome on it in real life.
Mom's favorite color is blue. I used some of the lighter shades of Copics in the BG family. The 'mother' die is also included in the set. You can check them out here: My Creative Time.
Thanks for coming to the Studio today. I promise I'll be better about keeping up now that we are home and settled back into our old routines. Hope you're enjoying a crafty weekend with your favorite crafty friends!
Hugs,
I love the way the gold embossing looks...beautiful card!
