Day 4, Holiday Card Workshop

Today's lesson is one-layer cards. One-layers are a really challenge for me as I love to add texture and layers and more layers and embellishments. So this design by Laura Bassen is a great substitute for all the layers yet still remains a single layer card.

Laura used stencils for her trees, snow banks, and falling snow. I don't have stencils for any of those things so I made my own using dies and chipboard. I think they turned out pretty good.

I don't know if you can see it or not, but after I stenciled the snow scene and before I stenciled the falling snow, I spritzed the card with perfect pearls shimmer spray just for a little extra pizzazz.

I don't recall who makes the sentiment stamp I used. It's from a clear stamp set I've had for a long time. The stencils, as I mentioned above, I made myself using dies and chipboard. The falling snow is texture paste.
