Happy Thrifty Thursday! It is my pleasure to bring you the first hint of winter..... hahaha! KIDDING! I am merely sharing a winter card I made using scraps from my stash. I like it, and after scaring you like I did, I hope you do too. ;)
These three pattern papers are some of my favorites from an OLD Basic Grey collection. I don't even remember the name of it, it's been so long. Regardless, I used them on my card as the colors are so 'winter' to me. And the vellum snowflakes and tag - also scrap pieces.
Unfortunately, you can't see in the pic, but I clear-embossed the mini snowflakes on the "coming soon" banner as you see on the Frosty Days tag. For the snowflake centers I used various sizes of bling. Love the end result!

ReplyDeleteGreat ideas using Miss Emma's goodies. OH girl after the HOT Summer
Snowflakes are a sight for sore eyes...kinda feel bad for the Sunny States that don't get winter....*LOL* I know here in MI the leaves are all turning early and the squirrels are gathering acorns like crazy and the birds are all gathering to migrate....all signs of and early, early winter and we had a bad one last year and they say it's going to be another rough snowy winter....but for me I stay all snuggly in my craftroom.....*he he he* I thought your little story was funny!!
You have a great sense of humor. YOU ROCK!!
Beautiful card Shar! Love the color combo and great use of those scraps. Lets hold off on the frosty days for a bit longer though :)
