This one is watercolor background and stamping combined into one card. Oh goodness! I love how this watercolor background turned out. For this one, instead of paints, I sprayed directly onto my block Tattered Angels Olive Vine glimmer mist, Shimmer Spritz Mudpie, and Shimmer Spritz Eucalyptus. I then sprayed with water and let it move around and do whatever it was going to do. Next I laid my paper right on top, patted it, then removed it and helped it dry a bit with my heat gun. Meanwhile, I colored my Technique Tuesday butterfly stamp with Distress Markers, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, and Black soot. Spritzed it with water then stamped onto the dry background paper. The colors are prettier IRL - the butterfly is more yellow than orange, and the green in the background is brighter.
My sentiment is part stamp (from My Creative Time, Puffy Hearts Just For You stamp set) and part die cut (awesome die from Technique Tuesday, Ali Edwards). Add some green bling and done! This is one of my top faves from all the creations I've done for class so far. Hope you like too!
What a beautiful, "water-colory" background! Love the texture you've achieved.
