I can't STOP!!! I keep getting ideas in my head and have to make them! I hope you don't mind. The second I opened the package of toothpicks, this idea came to me and I had to make it. RECYCLE!
The plastic packaging is the perfect size for Hershey nuggets, I thought to myself.
Ok well maybe not 100% perfect, but I trimmed it a bit so it's not quite as deep and now it IS perfect!
Seriously?! This paper looks like lines in the road! I didn't even do this on purpose when I selected it, but once I made my road-tag, I realized the paper matches back to my tag perfectly. Score! The heart and title letters are My Creative Time dies...
... as is the layered curly label. I made the sentiment by putting several others together. Umm, score again! ;)
Inside message is simple. Again using MCT dies and sentiment. Sweeeet!
Thanks for coming by today. Happy Groundhog Day!

p.s. My dorky husband didn't even get it when I showed him!!! He looked at it. Looked at me. "Stop what", he says. "In the name of love", I tell him. "A song. 60's. Diana Ross. You know. Don't you get the stop light and the lines in the road?" "No", he says. Then he just laughed. :{ Gee. Thanks. What a goob! But I love him anyway. LOL!
Haha! He didn't get it? :) Men.... What a great idea!!! I save packaging all the time, I have quite a stash of it. I really need to do something with some of it! What great inspiration!

Shar, only you would instantly envision chocolates in dental-pick packaging! Anyone else see the comedic irony in that? Anyway, it's brilliant, funny and sweet...and it cruised right on past your husband...Oh, well. I love it!
ReplyDeleteSad, isn't it?? The irony, that is. LOL! My husband. My poor, sweet husband. Has no clue about most things from childhood unless they involve hunting, fishing, or farming. Music...he hasn't a clue; duck calls and hunting rifles...that's music to his ears. LOL!!!
DeleteJust gives us all a reason to go buy toothpicks and not the greater value kind either lol
ReplyDeleteI am bad about saving the clear transparent packages that comes on stuff so i can make shakers with them...now i have reason to think outside shakers =)
Your husband didn't get it, hahaha... men!! I got it and what a brilliant idea to encase the chocolates in the packaging plastic. Super cute!
ReplyDeleteSahr ~ FINALLY I made it over to your blog! Okay this is simply so CLEVER!! To use that packaging and have the vision for the stop sign ~ GENIUS! Then the CUTE little road ~ too FABULOUS!!!
