Super quick sewing project if you're running low on time but need a super cute handmade gift. Cut the leg off a pair of jeans to make capris and save those cut off pieces! This little wristlet was made from a child size pant leg. As you can see, it doesn't take much fabric!
I used MCT Circle Font stamp set to personalize this one for little Emmy who just turned 5. She's likes having her name on things that belong to her....I can't blame her with 3 older sibs at home!!! ;) Even the denim flower was made using the MCT Rolled Flower die.
This is how I did the strap. Simple eyelet and binder ring. The ribbon I trimmed the bag with is the perfect size for the strap. I stitched the ends closed so it will be durable.
And the closure is sew in hook and loop tape (aka, velcro) If I make one of these again, I think I'll use a zipper. The stuff is a pain in the butt to sew in. Mind you, I've been sewing for nearly 35 years and I would still prefer to put in a zipper than this stuff. I figured this would be easier for Emmy's little hands though so velcro it is.
Thanks for looking. Peeps, we have just one day left of the hop, so if you've missed any days previous, now's the time to get caught up so you can be entered to win the big prize package, Emma's 12 Favorite Things! Here is the link where you can find the other designer blogs to get you started....or finished, as the case may be.
Product List:
My Creative Time, Circle Font stamp set
My Creative Time, Rolled Flower die

I love that you've been incorporating Emma's products into sewing projects! I came to papercrafting from a background in sewing. Since the migration, I've turned my back on sewing. Thank you for reminding me that the two can join forces! This clutch is so sweet!
