Designer Challenge, MCT

Today is Designer Challenge day at My Creative Time. Design Team Member, Rosy is sharing a super fun challenge this week, and I'm so excited to show you my project! Her challenge is to use fabric and stitches on your project. Stitches may be real, hand drawn, rub ons, whatever you like, as long as you incorporate stitches in some way. For me this turned into a couple of challenges, actually. The first one being to clear off my sewing table in order to access my machine for this project. LOL!!!! So here we go.....

For my project today, I used part of a leg from a pair of Gracie's old blue jeans to make her a cute little denim bag!! I LOVE how this turned out and I think she will too.

Denim and lace flowers are the perfect accent. I used My Creative Time rolled flower die for the large roses, and for the small rolled flower, My Creative Time stitched circle die.

To make the lace flower, I simply ran twine through one side and pulled tight forming a circle then tied the twine tight. The beautiful gold flower button is from Liz's PaperLoft Boutique.

The matching gift card turned out super cute too, if I do say so. I love the pink and denim colors together.

I used a Quickutz heart die for the background, burlap from Liz's Paperloft Boutique, and more lace and denim flowers.

This is the adorable Teeny Tag by My Creative Time. The layering die set comes with the Teeny Tag Greetings, which includes this sentiment and many others.

I have plenty of fabric left for lots more projects too. I'm thinking I might have to get busy on more bags with four more grandgirls in the bunch. ;) Seeing how these were Gracie's jeans, I figured she had better get the first bag. LOL

I hope you'll join us over at My Creative Time for this fun challenge. You have two weeks to link up your project on the blog, so get out the fabric and thread and go to town! ;) Thanks for coming by today. Hope you enjoyed my challenge project!

  11. So adorable! These jeans were definitely reincarnated into something far better than their first life. You're the best grand! Gracie seems to inspire you so much, I was wondering whether the others ever got jealous...I'm so glad they'll benefit, too!
