My Creative Time Designer Challenge

Welcome to Designer Challenge Thursday. I'm so excited to share with you my first designer challenge and hope you'll be able to play with us! I can't wait to see what you'll come up with. Because I'm a huge flower fan {in case perhaps you're a newbie, or possibly living under a rock ---- KIDDING!} I decided to challenge you to make your own flowers, a minimum of three (3), they don't have to be the same, incorporate some kind of bling, and use them on a card or layout. But there is a teensy twist -- you must use this lovely color palette for your project. Link up your finished project on the My Creative Time blog to play along!

light aqua blue
dark chocolate brown
golden yellow

Here is my finished card. I used the My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found Sunshine 6x6 paper pad. The colors are perfect for this challenge!

I actually used five flowers, with three larger ones for my focal point. I love mixing and matching colors, papers, patterns and styles when making flowers. I've also added a variety of foliage, jewels, ribbon, vintage lace, and hemp twine curly-cues. The circle background piece is Spellbinders picot edge circle.

Clustering like-items in groups of odd numbers {3, 5, 7 etc} makes them more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Not just in crafting, but in all aspects of life, really. I find myself doing this rather subconsciously with pretty much everything.

I used a Spellbinders fancy label die for my sentiment. This one is from the Teeny Tags Greetings by My Creative Time.

Product List:

Martha Stewart punches - branch, hydrangea and hydrangea trio

Spellbinders fancy labels, picot edge circles, circle die
Jewels, pearls, hemp, sheer ribbon, vintage lace, ink, Distrezz it All

    1. The header some comes empty (I think this one is from The Cutest Blog on The Block?? but not 100% positive thinking about it now) and I just added my message in the banner! I'm glad you like it! :) And thank you so much for commenting on my card. I really do love this one myself and had a blast working with these colors and flowers.
