School is cool!

The kids go back to school on Tuesday. I put together a box of fun school-ish goodies to send to the grands. Mostly stuff that is 'extra' that moms with lots of kids {i.e. daughter Sally, who has 4 of her own plus a stepdaughter} can't always afford to get with all the other must-haves. I enclosed a card in each box.

Adorable jumping rope girl by Peachy Keen Stamps. All paper pieced, I might add. :)

I used My Creative Time stamps to make my own sentiment

Scented markers, mechanical pencils, fine sharpies, bookmarks, and a squiggly straw and a kool aid singles....oh yes, and I included mustaches for the straws! :)

Also included is a "pencil" filled with candy. I can't show you the whole pencil yet as it's part of my DT project this week. Sneaky, I know, sorry! ;) Be sure to come back Thursday to see the whole thing. It's stinkin cute if I do say so myself.

Hope you're enjoying your long weekend. Thanks for checking in today!

  2. Adorable card! The jump-rope is a charming embellishment. But, that school bus...how could anyone dread going back to school on such a friendly-looking bus?! Clever way to adapt the sentiment stamps, too. As 'Mom' to a gaggle, I can appreciate what a significant GIFT these goodies are-I know Sally will too. The kiddies are sure to grin from ear to ear!
"Grandma's great! She gives us chocolate cake!" (Okay, maybe just some markers that smell like it.)
