Pure Joy

Joy comes in so many forms, doesn't it. Today it comes in the form of my altered Christmas ornaments-turned holiday banner. These glittery star ornaments came in a box of a dozen which I got on clearance last year for 50 whole cents!   For 4¢ per star, I couldn't possibly pass them up. Plus, the gorgeous brownish/bronzish color goes with my living room color scheme. Double score!

I made this for a challenge at A Cherry on Top - My Mind's Eye manufacturer challenge. I used the MME Lost and Found Christmas for my project. One of my all time fave Christmas lines. I'm not a traditional bright red and bright green Christmas color person. Never have been. But these darker hues and muted burgundy and olive shades of red and green make me feel cozy....like a vintage Christmas.

So many details on each piece, I had a blast adding one more thing, one more thing, and then one more. The product list is extensive but it didn't take as long as it might seem and was not at all a difficult project. I think what took the longest was preparing and cutting the letters with my cricut!

I won't go into every single detail but if you have specific questions please comment and I'll address each one. The letters are from the Fontopia cartridge.

The roses I made using the My Creative Time flower die; the other flowers are Petaloo and Prima.

Quickutz holly die
