Had some inquiries about how I made this clipboard ...
... using the My Creative Time stamp from the Honey Do List set released during yesterday's blog hop.
So... here's how I did it!
First stamp the clipboard once on kraft, and once on white cardstock.
Next, cut out the kraft clipboard, and then cut the paper with the "clip" from the white paper. Color the clip. I used gold, but you could use silver or gray too.
Use a punch to make the paper look as though it's been torn from a notebook. I used the spiral edge punch by Stampin Up. Then rough up the edges and ink if desired.
Glue the paper to the clipboard just at the clippy portion on top, and put foam tape at the bottom. This makes it look more "real" like it's paper on a real clipboard. You don't HAVE to do the foam tape step, but that's how I did mine and it looks cool that way. LOL
Now stamp your message, add some foofyness ...
... and attach to your project! :) The family message, star, sun and moon are from My Creative Time, Encouraging Quotes. Other messages and ticket stamps from Autumn Leaves -- I *think* but I'm not positive.
Flowers are Lifestyle Crafts, leaves are Quickutz.
I hope this helped those of you who wondered how I made the clipboard look real. Also, if you missed the release yesterday, you have until Sunday midnight to comment on all the blogs {see link above} in order to win a stamp set or one of Emma's new dies!!!!
Happy crafty weekend, peeps! ;)
