Good morning! Hubby has asked me to make a baby card for a client who just had a baby girl. So I combined the card with today's project. Today we are to use a die in an unexpected way; make it something it wasn't originally designed for.
I've taken the chevy dies and used them to make banner pennants for this baby card. I love the size of them and the Fun Alphabet letters fit beautifully. And with this paper I've had in my stash for eons--I think it is just the right accompaniment. Buttons, twine, and eyelet lace add the finishing touch to the banner; and for the mini scalloped bottom edge, I used the Fun Edge Dies.
Each letter was cut five times and layered to make my own "chipboard" letters, and each pennant is popped with foam tape for dimension.
My sentiment comes from the Fun Variety Inside and Out stamp set.
I hope you'll take a second look at your dies and see what else you can make with them! Have a crafty week, bloggy friends.
